That's a blank windscreen for the Madstad windshield system. There are a number of folks on here that have that system, with the same flyscreen (but with the holes in it for mounting the windshield).
I am not one of them, though. I have the Palmer brackets, which are a slightly lower rent version.

I use that windscreen with my Madstad system. Very sturdy and rigid. Took a bit of patience and finesse (flexing, pushing, pulling, etc.) to get the bolt holes lined up. So easy to cross-thread those bolts.

I've got both that version (no holes) as well as the one that goes with the adjustable brackets. I love both. I've been using that one over the summer but will convert for a trip or as the weather starts to cool.

I ended up drilling out the six holes a little to get the screws to go in easier. I also was worried about cross threading.

My threads on the six mounting screws were crappy. I ended up chasing the threads with a tap.
Now I can screw them in most of the way with my thumb and fingers.

I guess they tapped mine in a hurry at the factory or just drove the screws in with a hammer : )

Yup. Sturdy piece and great with the Madstad/Zero Gravity set-up I have. Memphis Shades help even more with noi}se and high speed buffeting.

Using anti-seeze helps with the difficult threads here and on the air box cover.
