Looks like we are going to have a good showing. Geoff holds the lap record and looks like he is on a couple of layers of paint behind Josh Hayes. 1.22.923 Hayes 1.22.985 May |

To my understanding some of the racers do not want to race in the rain. Some of the corners do not have adequate run off and saying its dangerous. |

They had already put down some smoking lap times. No sense riding in the rain, when it's clear you are not going to improve on your time, and risk a get-off. Better to wait until tomorrow. |

So it looks like Geoff was 2nd fastest in the rain, but will start on the2nd row. He was 2nd fastest in the 1st practice also, so my guess is he's got the track dialed in, wet or dry. Now all he needs is a good start, and we could see another Podium!!! Danny didn't run in the wet qualifying, but I think he'll start 5th (?) Should be an interesting race, another in a banner year for Erik and the New Elves. |

Wow! It was simply amazing watching Danny cut inside on Young and slice and dice through the turns lap after lap near the end. Good clean racing. Nice to see EBRs in the top 5. |

Not to downplay the excitement, but this is a {TREMENDOUS ACCOMPLISHMENT! To pull off a second place in the second season of this motorcycle and the rider's first year in this class says to me that they now have it figured out and should set their sights on wins. The right riders on great, fast bikes that handle better than all the others. The Japanese have been in control far too long in the US and most of the world in motorcycle racing. The day for America to take control is now! Congratulations! What a thrill to watch, wish I could have been there. Thanks for the show.

Holy smokes! Although I knew the result when I watched the race, I was still on the edge of my seat. Blake and Danny were both amazing. Getting everything there was to have out of the bikes and themselves. And then Geoff getting in on the action the last few laps to make it a three way fight for second. Talk about momentum going into the off season (or mo-mennum, as Scott Russell would say). I would venture to guess that EBR Hero/Am soil got 50% of the airtime on Speed. Fantastic job! |
