Just got my 06 uly, has an acid battery in it and dont like it laying down like that. Went out to start it yesterday, clicked a few times then turned over, the trip and clock had reset, so Im thinking the battery is about shot. I was looking at going with the Big Crank http://www.batterymart.com/p-Big-Crank-ETX14-Batte ry.html?Category_Code=buell-xb12x-ulysses-1200cc-b attery Anyone have any other suggestions? called HD and they have one.....for $114. |

It is not the battery it is the bike. I fitted a new HD battery to my 06 bike and it was still the same. I still have the old HD battery, 6 years old now, and it is still holds a 12.5v charge after standing for 3 months. I have even "jumped" a 3 Litre BMW car with it in the past? I tried everything to no effect. The OEM battery is 200CCM. Get a 220-250CCM battery or one, like the new Li-Ion type, that will hold a 13.5v charge. The battery MUST be a Gel or dry type as they sit on there side. |

the big crank is a sealed maint free battery. 1 year warranty. Im thinking it has to be something with the battery for it to reset the trip and clock like it has been. I agree it needs a bigger CCM. |

I put one of those in my '06 on 12/03/08 36,410 miles... now have a little over 73k.. battery is still working fine. Original was replaced with stator/VR. There are several threads about these batteries under different labels... iirc they are made by DEKA East Penn ? http://www.dekabatteries.com/ |

Factory-original AGM in my 28k mile '06. Seeing as how it's still behaving itself...IF it quits, the same will go back in. |

Got an Interstate one yesterday ~ $80 incl. 8% tax. P.I.T.A. to install: - The terminals are not tapped; has clever little cages that trap square nuts. - The faces of the terminals not flush w/ the face of the case. - Had to use lead washers to make up the difference, which of course made the bolts too short. |

That Yuasa is NIK, NIK! It will not work~! It contains LIQUID! When you tip that thing on its side there will be a portion of the plates exposed to air and it will leak! Make sure it is an AGM, not an AGM technology |

I love my 110S Silhouette rifle. 1 1/16th of an inch, five shot group at 200 yards out of the box. Oh yeah, we were talking batteries. Sorry, got distracted. Uh, I had a battery in the Jeep that took me to the shooting range! |

Those Savage 1917 .32 semi autos were some of the most beautiful and un-necessarily complicated handguns ever built. It's a miracle they work, but they do. I'm terrified at the thought of ever having to take one apart. |

If you guys want that uly to turn over faster, you need to buy one of these; http://www.ebay.com/itm/120833098926?ssPageName=ST RK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 . It's geared lower and cranks the motor over the way it should be. |

Went with the Shorai L-Ion from Racecrafters USA. Very happy with the service and the product. Very light battery and solved the clock reset, it seems. |
