looks like a ceriani. stortz sells them with body work kits to make a sportster into a flat tracker or road racer looking street bike. |

Thats what I thought too,Ceriani, but I could'nt find any info to prove it. Stortz's site has just newer style forks. |

Vrod Headlight on my 98S1W Still not finished..Have to paint the much modified flyscreen and also the v-rod headlight cover also. I'll do that when I take the forks apart for service and I plan to powder coat them black too.. I'll post a completed pic in the next week or two edited by seeeu911 on January 18, 2004 |

Cool headlight! Rippin, it is a low, good eye. By the time I found a brand new one close to me I did not care if it was a low or not. I'm 5'11 or 6'. It is very comfortable, and coming off the Blast it feels like a dirt bike |

VR1203/Jim: Those forks are early Ceriani , the road race version , they have mounting lugs for brakes and a fender. About 25 years ago I bough a basket case XR750 , it was a complete rolling chassis less the engine , it came with a 1968 XLCH engine w/ bigbore kit , sifton cams , a big stack of sprockets , close and wide ratio transmissions , a couple of magnetos and a bunch of other stuff. It had the dirt track version of those forks , thats how HD built those bikes for the first few years , then they switched to Marzzochi forks during the final years of manufacture before ending production of complete motorcycles. Here's a pic of that old bike ................. Too bad it sat on the back burner so long , and I never finished it , sold it and bought a new XR1000 . At the time I had too many bikes and too little income . Thats just one of my formerly owned bikes I now want back ,but wouldn't begin to know where to look for it. Jeff |

Thanks guys ! Tripp you are right..now the Brutale looks like the Buell Steve I'm slowlly working my way forward and yup..black forks coming up. I'm considering polished forks clamps too. Probably going back to my other set of polished headers too, the Britten Blue is fun but just too much attention getting. |

Dennis, they were done by Hyper-Kote at $150.00 Ceramic coating is silver then the color finish. The Orlando franchise does great work and I've used them before. |

Steve(2), thanks again for hangin' that pic of me on your most faBuellous website i've always admired Jack Van Voast's photography (and Jack, too!). he rode up from CA to WA for Blue Groove/Northwest in '97, and took some absolutely dynamite pix (which one of these days i'll get around to posting). anyway, thanks again for making it that much harder to get my helmet on ride to lean, FB |

OK Bads1 It is a Moroso Spiral Flow Muffler That I got from Jegs with a 4" turn down welded to the end of it. I could of put a 2 1/2 in turndown on it but I thought the 4" would be different. Seeeu911 Yes I will be in Orlando. I plan on riding over with Lakeland BRAG. SgtBuell Not quite. I finished up the fab work last night but I have to paint it. I did not like the silver paint that I used before the turn out so I am going to try black for now. Should have it back together for this weekend.

Davefl, Please post a report about the spiral muff once you get a few miles on it, how it sounds, how loud it is compared to a packed muffler, how it affects the performance, and post a dyno chart if you can as well. Don't want to ask for too much so I'll stop there before you throw something at me. Been thinking of building up a spiral muffler sometime this summer when the garage thaws out and I get my tanks refilled. Thanks. |
