Can any one confirm the rear brake disc is flat (ie no dishing) and does it have a correct direction of travel ? |

Should be flat, don't think I've heard of a directional for them either. If it's bowed or dished, you have problems. |

Yes thanks, i think the disc is shot,it is dished by about 3mm. With the disc removed, when i push the centre it pops the dish to the oppersite direction weird ! |

Yes looks like I need a new one ! I think what happened with mine was first of all it used to squeak and I found one piston was sticking. When I cleaned it up it stopped squeaking and worked ok.I did a track day at Lydden and it started squeaking and vibrating and at the end of the day I found the caliper had cracked across one fixing lug.It did get very hot. Harley replaced the caliper and it seemed ok for a while, then started to squeak and vibrate again.Every time I checked and cleaned pads it seemed ok for a little while.I thought I would try reversing the disc so it had the cleaner face of the holes to clean the pads, then with it removed I found the dishing.Better go and check on ebay for a new one. |

It's directional if for no other reason the bolt holes are counter sunk |

LOL, I overheated mine and it dishes when I take it off... Flattens out when installed so I don't worry about it. |
