The front exhaust bushing on my cyclone wore out and the previous owner made one out of RTV that is pretty subpar and I would like to replace it but can't find them available anywhere. Does anyone know of anywhere that carries them or something that would work in place of it? I am talking about the bushing at the front mount of the muffler.

Thanks,
Spencer

I think the world is fresh out. You may want to try AL at American Sport Bike.

Twin cycles has them, I made one out of the polyurethane suspension bushings and haven't had a problem since.

My '99 M2 has a front bushing made from a modified rear bushing from a 97-98, slightly trimmed. I made one out of gasket material but it didn't hold up. I ordered them from the H-D people.

I made mine by using the bushing from a old honda civic shock absorber and turning/trimming it down.

There are two rubber bushings in the Y mount. Is there a third rubber bushing between the two in the Y mount.

one on each side as you indicate, there is a spacer between the bushings so when you clamp the bolt up you don't pull the bushings out or bend the exhaust mount. }

I've got the spacer. Just didn't know if there was more to it than that. My fear was that the PO pulled the core out of an old bushing and used it. Sounds like I'm setting it up correctly.

Anybody able to give us reasonably precise dimensions of this bushing?
I'm betting it to be a 'standard' part, as in, available at the local hardware store.

The spacer in the pic above is for a SuperTrapp .875 (7/8") long, same as the oem pipes spacer.

I made a metal insert out of 3/8" O.D. stainless tubing cut to length. The inner diameter seemed a great fit for a 5/16" bolt on the front of the muffler. Need one message me your address and I'll mail it to you, just name the length.
