Unfortunately the rain came just minutes before me and Joe were about to run our first all 1125 final. My other 1125 was in the ET final too! Warming up our engines as the first drops fell, then just got heavier and never stopped. I got my fresh motor down the track a few times with no real issues and got back into the 9.8s -9.87@ 136. 60's still over a 1/10th down so plenty more to come when the clutch is dialled in. As I'm the Hays 1125 guinea pig it's going to take awhile to get it spot on. However the motor wasn't quite as smooth and quiet by the end of the meeting so a good inspection is in order. I suspect it doesn't like the weight of the Hays and I'll have to build in some outboard support. Would have been great to race Joe in the final, just have to wait till round 6. I only need to find another half a second from somewhere??? lol! Another perfect weekend for Joe 9.20 for low et of the meet. |
