Has anyone not replaced oil plug aluminum crush gasket during oil change? Any leaks? Thanks Mike |

I re used mine. 1000 miles and no issues so far. I live 20 miles from everywhere so when I opened the filter box and didn't see one the old one was going back on. |

I do a few "figure 8s" on some 400 wet/dry each oil change. Still on originals, 28+k miles. Pay attention to orientation tho, one side is dished for the bolt. That side is "on it's own". Both are good for the same treatment, copper and aluminum. A good idea is to anneal the copper one every 2-5 times. Heat to red then drop in water. Makes it "crushable" again. Z |

With copper, I'm not sure you need to even do that. It's pretty ductile. Somewhere around here I posted McMaster part numbers for these things. I've been using fresh ones ever since because a lifetime supply was like $10. |
