Probably a simple one - were ALL the tubers built of 4130 chromemoly, or did the Motor Company change the tube frame to 1020 DOM or something like that? and if so, at what point? I'm looking at a phuqed up Cyclone frame - before I try to unphuq it, i'd like to know what I am dealing with... |

They were all chromemoly to the best of my knowledge and weld well with either tig or acetylene. |

I believe you are correct that they are all chromemolly, The early frames were tig welded. (I believe that this is mentioned in 25years of buell ) I think that the later ones are mig welded / brazed ( fittings ) |
