Hey guys im sure there is a thread for this but i couldnt find it. I just upgraded my 2000 x1to a 1250 kit roller rockers and 2004 and later rocker boxs . Do i need to change the push rods to the newer ones or run the old stock ones? |

The old one's probably won't work and you would not want to either because they do wear. And i would want new valve train parts wearing into new pushrods. Not new parts on old rods. The repair manual also states that if you remove the push rods they have to go back exactly the way it was before or it will increase valve train noise will increase\accelerate wear. |

Probably either a leaky intake or exhaust gasket. |

Do you have to remap when you increase displacement to 1250, or can the AFV take care of that? |

I replaced the tappets but wasnt sure about the pushrods, should i just got with a new set of stock length ones? And i didnt think an additional 50cc's would warrant a remap but who knows |

You only need to replace the top two pieces of the rocker box, the new cover takes their place. If you do it this way there is no messing with anything, just unbolt top two layers of the rocker box and bolt the new one on. No rotating engine, all you have to do is remove the gas tank to get access. The push rods will not even be accessed if you do it the easy way. With installing roller rockers you may just consider checking the push rods for excessive wear, galling on the ends, and straightness, as PB1 suggested, but if okay just reuse, the lifters are self adjusting and are there to make sure everything fits right length wise. |

I replaced bottom and top rocker boxes so i could run the newer style with the better breather setup on them, the pushrods looked fine when i pulled them so i figured it was ok to use them they were straight with no marring or bends in hem |

An extra 50CC is an extra 4% in volume. If you were already running on the lean side then that will make it even more likely to cause an issue. |
