Here is a link to my thread in the Knowledge Vault. I'm attempting to fabricate a one off upper triple tree for a Buell. The reason for this project is so I can run drag bars on my Buell without having to use dogbone risers. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/664119.html?1326519647 |

I finally got my Buell Cyclone back on line yesterday. It had been down a long time due to a broken engine crankshaft seal. I took it for a spin around the block after it powered up.

Hey there Ericcogdell, I live up in Carrollton, KY and have been looking for some fellow Buellers to ride with. Granted I'm like 100 miles from you...we could still meet up somewhere and hopefully get a few more people and hit the road. I've been out a couple times so far because the weather is amazing. Took about 250 mile trip last week on my 1125r out to the Natural Bridge in Slade, KY. That was a great ride!!! |

You're in my country if you're in the Red River area. PM me if you ever make it back to this area. |

Fellow KY Buellers... Looking to get out on a 2-3 hour ride on Friday morning with my wife (two-up). I'm near Fort Knox and looking for recommendations as far as roads/routes to check out. I'm new to the area and would prefer to stay off major highways. Feel free to PM me with any favorites! |

Here's my latest thread on the Cyclone's fuel cap problem: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/717487.html?1375465924 I got the Buell's transmission and shifter back on line but when I tried check the gas the release lever on the cap did nothing but spin around! Now what if this had happened at a gas station 150 miles from home and I was near empty? As it turns out this is not an uncommon problem. I believe my solution to this problem was innovative. KK |

Just installed a new HRS42 Mikuni on my Buell. Here's a pic that's fairly up to date.

This is my last entry! A few weeks ago I was tooling westbound on the BlueGrass Parkway in Nelson County and my Cyclone sucked a valve on the rear cylinder. I was able to make to Exit 34 where I pulled into Glasscock Log & lumber Company's yard. My wife was able to come and rescue me and my Buell with my pickup and trailer. I hauled the Buell over to Junction City Cycles where they pulled the heads and found the damage. I decided that was enough! The Buell was the worst motorcycle I'd ever owned. It had broken down more then my old 69 BSA 441 Victor! I wasn't going to spend any more money on it! A biker needs to know when to cut his losses! So I sold it to Shotgun's mechanic for $300.00! I was looking at the maintenance log and added up the miles. I had put over 25000 miles on the Buell in the twelve years I owned it. Enough said! (Message edited by kdkerr2 on July 31, 2019) |
