I went out for a joyride yesterday and towards the end i realized i was idling really really low for the gear I was in. After coming to a stop the needle read about 2k-3k below the actual reading, so well below 0 rpm. Has anyone else had this happen? It was some spirited riding and I may have smacked redline hard in one of those gears. How do I fix it? |

lol smacked the redline love that. yes it's been discussed. long story short if you're out of warranty then take the dash apart and superglue the pointer back onto the stud |

The pointer still moves with the RPM, its just off by a few thousand RPM. Thanks for the details DIY instructions, thats exactly what I was looking for (seriously was). Looks like a winter project when I've got time to kill. |

Was at work there are several threads. I think if you search using 'slipped tach needle' you'll find them. Mine did the same thing. One thing. I did was to plug it back in while I had the dash split and turn the bike 'on' so that the post was in the correct 0 orientation. |
