Hey guys, I'm having trouble with my right turn signal and someone on here has been helping me and gave his opinion on what is wrong with it. My left turn signal works fine (both front and back) but neither of my right turn signals work, not even the light on the dash that's supposed to blink. So I was told that it sounds like a flasher problem and I need to check that out otherwise it could just be a disconnected/broken wire. So, I'm just wondering where the flasher is located? He has X1's and therefore doesn't know for sure where it's located on an S2. Anyone know? |

The flasher functionality is built into the turn signal module. It doesn't have a mechanical flasher. |

The module is bolted to the frame near (behind) the battery. It's red. Check this thread for availability and alternatives. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/680000.html?1337619550 |

It's red. For the most part... The early ones were red (because of H-D...), but later ones were black (with a Buell label). For the life of me I can't remember when the black ones started (and it could've been after the S2 days), 1313 |

The 95 S2 has a red one, which is why I mentioned it. Thanks to RT, mine's black (and actually functional). |

They should be still available at the dealership.I bought one late last year. When the part number (68755-94Y Turn Signal Canceller)comes up as obsolete, ask your friendly parts counter person to run it through Vintage Parts. |

Check your bulbs first! If the lights have been changed sometimes the wrong wattage on the bulbs will screw with the flash mode of the module and make you think the unit's bad. See what the bulbs are on the side that works and ensure that the ones on the 'bad' side are the same - it's stamped on the metal base of the bulb, usually. When I got my RS years ago, I had the same thing wrong. I bought a new module, (EXPENSIVE!!) installed it, and there was no change to the flashing on the one side. A friend told me about the bulb resistance and I changed one bulb for a buck and a half, and it fixed it. |

Also, check the bullet terminals that connect the signals to the wiring harness. My bike had the same symptom on my last trip, and this turned out to be the problem. I disconnected & reconnected: voila! Hope it works for you. Adam |
