Lornce, Gearing is standard US. No drivability issues. Just prodigious amounts of thrust whenever you want it. It could probably stand to be geared a little taller. |

Tony, Don't have any clips but suffice to say it's snarling loud, obnoxious and sets off car alarms at a moments notice....sweet! |

Tyson's Corners? I look out my window, at work, and see that guy parked across the street all the time. Die-Hard rider, 'cept it's a bit too chili these days.

Mb and Steve, Nope that's not me at Tysons. I mainly keep to my parts in Loudoun. Steve, You're the guy who took a pic of my X1 when we were at the Herndon Exxon right? Do you still have that sweet silver S3? Lee |

Lornce that Buell was featured in the Japanese Buell Riders Club Magazine some years ago. I have the copy but despite my ability to browse from back to front I still can't read it If memory serves though I'm sure the same Buell got a mention in Battle2Win some time ago too. Rocket |

Lee, that's me, for sure and I knew that wasn't your S1, as you're out there in God's Country. Our Site's been somewhat in limbo, but we have a line on a new host that we're trying to work some kinks out of. But as the old host is still alive, I just updated it with some recent pictures I've collected. Check this page: What's New @ DC BRAG Yes, still have the old S3T -- it was updated on Nov. 18. with a recent shot off of that page. I'll drop you a line next week, as there are some of the above pictures I'd like to use, if OK. tx, Steve(2)

Ferris, if you're out there, could I get permission to use a variant of this pic? hey Steve, i'm (finally) here, i'm here! well sir, the pic was taken by master lensman Jack Van Voast, so HE would be the one to ask. I'M okay with it, and i assume HE'D be okay with it, but courtesy dictates that he be given the opportunity to say yea or nay. let's see if we can track down an e-mail address for him and ask. if you DO end up using the pic, is there any way you can photoshop those "FMF" stickers off the flyscreen (which were covering up a bondo-boo-boo, and which have since been replaced with something a little more patriotic whilst i search for a replacement screen...)? ride to lean, FB |

Brad, The answer is yes and no. There is a story to go with it to explain. When I moved down here to Eastern NC, I spent the night at a Hotel outside of Asheville that appeared to have some shady characters there that night. Being concerned for S2 #1313's safety I rolled it up on the sidewalk in front of my window and put the disk lock on it. The next morning, guess what I forgot as I was rolling Black Sunshine out into the parking lot? Yep, the disk lock took out the right 'arm' of the front fender. Once I got to my destination in NC I called both Todd at TNT and Tat at American Sport Bike to see if they could make me a replacement. Todd has not carried the Red kevlar and said it wouldn't be worth me buying some because it is extremely expensive and I would only need a little for the fender. In the end I ended up sending the broken fender to Todd and he repaired it. I know Todd did the Blue Kevlar Carbon Fiber for the 1999 Carbon Fiber extreme X1's, so I would assume that he would have a supply of the Blue Kevlar. Red just wasn't worth his time to keep in stock. Don't quote me on this (because I ain't either's salesman), but I believe Tat's normal price is about $200 for a carbon front fender, and Tat told me we would've normally added about $100 for the custom work. Fortunately when I bought this fender I was still 'in the industry', so the custom work was done gratis. I promised both Tat and Todd to 'advertise' my front fender to show what they are capable of, and have finally been able to do it. By the way, when Todd first made the fender, I sent him my painted one to use as a pattern for the flames. Unbelievably, the carbon fender is spot on my painted one. When I round it up I will take a picture or two showing both of the fenders together. 1313 |

thanks Ferris. I should have recognized Jack's work and I'll ping him. Should I use it, I'll see what can be done with the sticker. tx, Steve(2)

Both my bikes, well the Sportster is alot like what my bike will be come spring, The M2 is mine when i came across it at the dealer. I was there to get a Blast for my Daughter. I needed a bike I would not have apart all the time, that I could ride to work. I still took it apart. I have new tires, a Force CF air box, "Baker" chain drive, and a SuperTrapp. When does riding seasion start in Wisconsin? edited by jon6516 on January 15, 2004 |
