They would have to consider the southwest where you have plenty of tracks (road race and dragstrip) that operate year round. |

2019 is when HD legally is able to stop producing parts for buells, per the 10 year agreement after they closed down buell. Jake |

i thought that by law HD had to continue to make parts for Buells (i.e. the closed company) for 10 years after termination? Jake |

If there is a law . . . . I have yet to see it or find it. I've been asking folks to show me since October 15, 2009. Thus far . . . no takers. |

That 10 year agreement is BS. Harley can quit making parts whenever they choose. |

I am flying today to the USA, but if somenbody would be so kind to look in the annual HD Report 2009-2010, they can see HD takes a lot of dollars and 10 years (every year a lot of dollars) to reorganise Buell out of there internal system. after 10 years there are no cost anymore for Buell. |

Anywhere in East Tennessee! Lived here all my life and I'm still discovering new (great) roads to ride, It's just hard to beat this area for motorcycling. |

I think the laws in europe for motor vehicle producers is different to the States when Buell closed the Uk site advertised 10 years spares support while Buell .com were stating 7. I believe it is something to do with in European law any vehicle sold must have 10 years support unless of course the manufacturer goes into administration which did not happen with Buell. |

Why is it everytime I read the title of this thread the following pops into my mind? Don't worry, it's NOT a rick-roll Word association - triggered - is my best guess, 1313 |

You'll love it . . . .Austin-Tacious . . . is one of the finest cities in America. We're looking at building a home in the area and the more you look at the city the more attractive it is. When I had my Dallas office I used to go to Austin once a month for the TSDHPT bid openings. The place was always fun. Texas had, and continues to have, one of the most business friendly climates in the nation. Great place for a motorcycle business. :-) |

Well Yeeha! I'm trying to get to Austin myself. For me there are some fun work opportunities there and it's only 10 hours from my home in Albuquerque. Looking further down the road I want Austin to be a winter home (ABQ can see some uncomfortable winters and after 39 years in Alaska I'm pretty sensitive to the issue). Also there is the Circuit of The Americas that is built in Austin. The first Formula 1 GP there is Nov 16-18 this year. And, MotoGP is all signed up there with a mulit-year contract. Dris, I can't wait to see your shop. You might remember me cause I bought one of the original Torque Hammers. Your move is great news! (Message edited by duggram on August 12, 2012) |
