I need some idea how many rpms = those mph before I get a ticket, For the lower speeds please tell me what gear your in too. Thanks for any help |

About the only way it could be off that much is if someone put the wrong speedometer drive assembly on the front wheel. You might want to pull it and check the part number... Or just replace it with the stock one as they are pretty reasonably priced and easy to replace in a few minutes. |

Just use 2nd for 35. 3rd for 45. 4th for 55, and 5th for 65. and then just keep it under 3400rpm, you should be fine or close enough. 75 in 5th should be about 3800, 4000 for 80. |

Dude, Order a new speedometer drive from American Sport Bike. I did. But I don't understand how you could be getting these results. Your drive has a hooked tang that inserts into a hole on your wheel and can only go as fast as the wheel rotates. The whole thing with shipping will be around 40 bucks and takes about 20 minutes to change. You need to be able to see your speed accurately from your instruments and not have to do any factoring or extrapolating. |

Fantastic until about 11 am every day, then it was like being inside a nuclear reactor. My Buddies that run Salt Cat 2 a turbo injected straight 8 buick powered lakester set 3 records all in the 220 range w/no broken parts. They are going back to the World of Speed meet in early Sept to try & set the XXO/blown streamliner record. Ive had enough salt & heat for the year |
