I just purchased a Buell 06 uly with 5k. When i got it the guy was charging it with his truck. It was a new battery but had not been ride in a while. Rode it back fine. Next time however the check engine light came on after twenty minutes. Then a few minutes later the guages went out and shortly after that the engine began stuttering. Lucky me the engine quit. I took Barry go shop they said it was good but needed charged. Can someone please help. Any ideas. I was guessing stator |

Well for one thing, you can't jump or charge a motorcycle off a running car, it will damage the bike. If that is what he did, he fried your voltage regulator. If he disconnected the battery and did it that way, it should be fine. I would start by charging up the battery, then running tests on the stator, voltage regulator, and the battery to determine what is malfunctioning. Also, a weakspot on the 06 is what we call the 77 connector, it is a 2 pin connector under the front pulley cover, they often melt and it will cause a bad connection resulting in battery drain.
