Having just completed a 6200 mile trip with the S2 overloaded by 150 pounds at least, I now find that at idle, it shakes so hard I'm afraid the fairing support is going to break off. Looking at the isolators while they are in place, they seem totally fine. My only other thought is that I've never ridden the bike without the excess weight on it since I had a stiffer spring put on. Do you think the spring could be transmitting more vibration up to the isolators because it can't transmit it back to the swingarm and rear wheel?

Never mind. Rear isolators failed from overloading the bike on the trip.

Careful, there, Eric. Carrying Jaci on the back is not overloading. It's all that extraneous gear, like clean clothes and stuff, that caused your isolators to fail!

It was the hundred pounds of camping gear. But in hindsight, they may have been failing even before that.
