Sold my chain drive swingarm. Buyer is not interested in mag rear wheel (he has them already). How do I get the spacers out of the wheel so I can send them to him without damaging anything (i.e. the wheel)? Should I sacrifice the end spacers, grab them with something and pull them out? They're cheap to buy but the mag wheel isn't. |

i knock the spacers out from the opposite side with a long 1/2" aluminum rod. tap on either side of each spacer till they come out. harder to get out will be the bearings and inner spacer. i use a heat gun and a slide hammer that just barely grabs the inside race of the first bearing. 2nd bearing i drive out from the other side. i would recommend giving him a new set of spacers and bearings and price your mag wheel accordingly. good luck, tim |

hey, Tim if I wanted to keep this wheel and use it with the belt drive what would I have to do? |

you would have to pull the captured spacers, bearings and inner spacer out and put the stock bearings and spacer in. not sure about stock spacer on brake side. i will have to look at my stock stuff when i get back to Louisiana. stock pulley and disc. that 1/4" sprocket spacer needs to go with the captured spacers. don't curb that mag wheel as it splits easy. we curbed a front at BHF this year and put an 8 inch crack in the rim. air didn't make it back to the pits. |

Thanks for the reply. If I can't sell the wheel then I plan to use it for trackdays, no street riding. You don't have to do any follow up on this because I can go to the dealer an order the parts. Forgot about this. But, thank you for taking the time. |

Not sure you could easily convert it to belt, as you have to machine out the inner to convert the wheel over to chain to accept the larger diameter inner spacer. |

Thanks for the replies. You saved us a lot of pain. Now I'm going to trade the chain drive mag wheel with the swingarm buyer for one of his mag wheels that is setup for belt drive. Simple solution to the problem, but I would not have thought of it without your help. |
