I bet this has been answered, searched but couldn't find the fix. 97 S3T, forcewinder intake. Ran great prior to.
Will start right up on choke, push off choke - stalls. Turn throttle - stalls.
First I thought it was air leak to carb, put a bit of silicone on gasket and dried 24 hrs, started up - same problem. Any help greatly appreciated.

Is the vent passage on the carb face obstructed?

Spray around your intake seals to see if that is the problem. Also a bit of something could be stuck in the idle circuit.

sounds like carb needs re-jetting
idle jet or low seed jet

If it ran before the Forcewinder it should run now. Unless you blocked the bowel vent.
My bet it s the low speed circuit, either the low speed screw or the jet is clogged.
Check the intake seals while you're at it. If they are more than a couple of years old, they need replacing.

Hey guys - Was away over the weekend, and did not do anything to the bike. I may or may not get to it this week either??
The forcewinder has been on for 3 years, and it ran great up to now. Buell bert - lol, I wish !! The truth be told, it's not my favorite 2 up ride, and it's hard to get out the garage alone right now. Sometimes it's just that way. Will let you all know how this works out. Thanks again.

All right WELL. When you mentioned the Forcewinder in the original posting I did not know if that had anything to do with the problem or not. I think we can now throw that out of the mix.

Yes, I think so too Bert, I read the FAQ on the older version w/ the larger back cut vs. the new one, but mine is the newer version and it ran great for the past couple years. I will post up the findings.
Thanks again.

Fixed / update - The accelerator pump was gunked up.
I guess it's the gasoline of today?
Cleaned all jets and good to go.

thanks to all - ride safe.
