How long before they start to dry rot? Just wondering when the pile of gold turns to **** These grips have a date on the label that says 9/16/08. No signs of getting old. They are nice and tacky. I am sure they will wear out before they dry rot. |

With all the nice grips out there, can anybody tell me why anybody pays more than $20 for "traction grips?" What is so special about them that I obviously don't know? This isn't the first set I've seen sold on here. |

And again, I'll ask: what is so special about Traction Grips? I'm not mocking you. Sell me (or somebody else) on them...what is so incredible about Traction Grips that people covet them, hoard them and pay this kind of money? |

I have them on my bike and liked them so much I bought a spare set. Then when I saw them on ebay for so much I put them on ebay and they sold for well over $100. I lkike them but I liked my 116.00 that I got more lol. I think people just like the idea of them being hard to come by and saying Buell on them. |

They're really, really, really comfortable grips. They were a steal when they were new. I'd say just for pure comfort value they're worth $30-35. That's what I'd be willing to pay for a pair if they were still making them. Apparently someone thought these were worth twice that. That's only "kinda" crazy. $100+ is just nuts. But you never know what some people are willing to pay when something becomes rare. Crazy that the value of Buell grips increased 4-8 times while my Buell motorcycles' values have pretty much stayed the same. |
