Bartimus, it's at Ft. Lowell and Swan.
Wycked- shoot down Grant rd from I-10, head east. It's a bit of a haul to Swan, but a straight shot. Turn left onto Swan, a couple of block up on the left side. Hope to meet you guys tomorrow! ---------B

Wycked,
Where are you at? Maybe we could meet here in Phoenix for the ride down. I'm on E Bell, at around 16th Street. We would have to leave before 7 to get there in time, though. Maybe meet up at a gas station on Bell, or ???

Don

Wycked & 02Buell,
we waited until 10:15 and then hit the road. I figured the screwed up traffic around the I-10/101 construction may have delayed you, or changed your mind. The group was mostly Harleys, and they ended up opting to go to Green Valley. An XB9S (tucsonxb9s) and a V-rod, and me on my S1W ended up being the group that headed to Tombstone. The ride was great down to Sonoita, but the weather turned cold and then rainy. We stopped in Sonoita, and discussed the cold and decided to head back. It was still a good ride, we missed y'all and hope to hook up eventually someday. I'd like to come up the back way next weekend, to Superior, and maybe hook up with you, and ride up to Globe for lunch and then back down to Superior. Maybe a quick ride to Tortilla Flats thrown in. The ride from Tucson up the back way is a good ride also. I may be able to get a few of the guys from down here to ride up with me. Give it some thought and let me know what ya think. In the meantime, here's a shot of the three bikes that did make it.

How do you get the pictures larger with the file size limitations?

When did you sneak that shot Bart? I didn't know you had brought a camera. It was good meeting you and it was a fun ride. Too bad about the weather, but you do know what this site is called! I'll be sure to drop you a line if I don't head to San Diego next weekend. I'll be up for that Phoenix run we spoke about. Talk to ya later!

Sorry guys a 2 am discussion with here decided us that it wasn't going to be all that feasable for us to come down ride then come back up here. We were looking at having to leave at like 6 or 630am. So instead we hooked up about 2pm and headed towards Flagstaff till it got too cold to ride that well and turned around and headed back. Maybe it was the snow on the ground edging the freeway that decided it. If we had planned it better we could have driven my truck down with the bikes so after the ride the late cold wouldn't have been a problem. Normally the cold wouldn't bother me as much but still being sick is making it a biatch. Lets talk it out during the week and see what we can set up in advance for the weekend that is a bit equal all around if you know what I mean distance wise. Glad to hear you guys had a good ride and sorry about not making it.

John,
The S1W is a real gas to ride, I'm loving it. My S2 is the same color yours (was) Blue, I'm itching to get it back.
Wyckedflesh,
look forward to possible meeting and riding with you guys up there next weekend, the truck idea would have worked, where theres a will, theres a way. Get your health back and let's do some riding.
Paul and Brian,
Great riding with you guys today, hope to do it a gain soon. That V-rod sure does run! Remember, anytime you want to go for a short putt, just drop me a line. (i got the shot when you guys were getting soda and pork rinds) just before the rain started.

Bartimus I missed your comment earlier, email me the ORIGINAL pic if the file size is less then 1 meg and I can adjust it to fit. I do this all the time on a few different boards and have gotten it down pretty damn good. Almost do the adjustments in my sleep.

Bart- Had too much fun in bad weather. It rained on me all the way home. Not too hard, just COLD! Oh yeah, topped off the tank on the way back and had only spent 2.5 gallons on the ride. Averaged 52 mpg! I'll find out today if I'll be in town for a ride this weekend.

Wycked & 02buells: No worries on not making it down. I completely understand. It was a bit last minute and it was a long haul for you guys. I'll be in touch to try to set something up your way soon.

I was out RIDING in this gourgeous 70+ degree weather!!! I wuz wondering what you were up to. Spanish Trail was calling, and then my neighbor got home from work and asked if I'd like to go up Catilina hwy with him. DUH! of course! Nice day for riding and I took full advantage of it. Damn, I thought it would suck being disabled. hehe Still trying to dial in the suspension on the S1W though, just a tad twitchy. I'll be going back into the hospital Tuesday, so no fun for two days.

Let's try to organize a ride from Tucson, up the back way to Superior and meet some of the Phoenix riders on the 24th of January. (sunday) Some can't make it this coming weekend, but most seem to be able to go the following weekend. Perhaps we can meet in Superior, and ride up to Globe and maybe do the Salt river Canyon. (That's always a gass!) and then back to Superior for a few cold ones. What say everyone??
