It looks like the clutch slave cylinder is failing on my 2009 1125R. This with 27,000 miles on it. Had to add fluid to the master cylinder and see signs of leakage at the dribble hole. Does anyone know of a rebuild kit? I took a look at the service manual, scary. It says you need to rotate the motor. Why?
Oberon Performance sell a clutch slave cyl kit too. They've been making these replacement cylinders for Ducatis, KTMs and various other Rotax engined bikes for years. Easily installed with your normal tool kit.
I'll second the Oberon unit ...some very nice improvements over the original design and very very good quality. Very easy to fit and has been designed to be virtually foolproof ..the hex on the inside is a nice touch because it allows you to use a spanner to align the cylinder cutout with the case notch if it's moves out of alignment as you gently push the cylinder into the case.
Thanks for all the good scoop. I went to the EBR web store, saw nothing relating to clutch slave. Am pursuing a fix. And keeping an eye on the fluid level.
I installed the EBR clutch actuator kit in mine. Also, to aid in the replacement, I purchased the Max Axess socket set from Sears. The star wrench that comes with the bike and the max axess socket set work perfectly to remove the spherical nut. Home depot has their version of this tool as well.
