Getting down to the final weeks before Bub's Motorcycle Speed Trials. Christine will be riding in one class, I in another and if we get the first two in the record books, as payment for services rendered our "Pit Guy" Max will be riding it in a third class. We think we have the jetting issue figured out, as we fouled two plugs last year, one on a record back-up run on the last day. BTW if your out there on the salt Wed Aug 29th at the end of the day Christine and I will be trading vows and rings. My great partner Fireman Jim Higgins will be standing up for me. Dinner and beer to follow at the Black & White Bar in Wendover. Hope to see you there Terry - jtsperformance.com |

Got notification that my press credentials for Landracing.com's live webcast are on their way. Getting jazzed, what with my special duty 40 year old rebuilt omni mike that should catch the engine exhaust tones as they pass at full tilt. |

There is a Japanese chap bringing over a 3000cc class V-twin with an interesting fairing designed at a Technical University. Profile reminds me somewhat of Britten's Ducati powered Aero D Zero back in the day. |

Wow. I'm always tethered to the Landracing.com pit across from the timing tower. Today the crew from Destination Harley set up next to us, a Buell XBRR rolling out of their trailer. They've gone to the starting line, but I'll take a few pictures and ask some questions when they come back. Perhaps they'll come to BUB. I can always hope. It's the first Buell I've seen this week that is racing. |

Huff is riding the XBRR, Alan Sputhe is in the pits with him. My claim to fame is loaning them a roll of black duct tape for some aero tweaks that match the paint. Waiting to hear their speed this run. Buellz rulez, etc. |

Steve Huff just qualified at 178.658, heading for impound and a backup run tomorrow morning. Now we're on a wind hold with just 20 minutes before shutdown for the day. Just in time. |

Terry, I finally get to go this year and will be volunteering with Rex and Alan all week. I'll definitely be on hand to witness your good exchanging of vows and rings. Your date of 8/29 just happens to be my birthday as well, but I don't suppose either of us will be having cake! Jon |

APS/PG 1350 with the fairing on. I'm waiting to see if they have the fairing off to run A/PG. We wrap up for the week in about one hour, I'm parked next to their EZ-up and hopr to have more later. Several A and M class Blasts, no info until results are posted by the SCTA. Wait, Steve Huff is running now . . #1017, had qualified yesterday for a record @ 176+, didn't back it up. Ran this morning, 140 and change, worked on the motor, this run was 150.579, so that's it for the week, no time to re-qualify. Alan Sputhe and Mike "Mad Dash" Watson crewing. |
