So, my 1125CR ran flawless until the 12k service. Then it had a minor oil leak. After that, it was fixed, but not entirely, but I took it in at 17000 miles when the stator died. However, since the stator replacement, I cant seem to reset the TPS, and I am getting at best 80% of the throttle (62% last time I was in diag mode). So I have to take it back in and hopefully they can chase the gremlins away.

TPS Procedure:

Turn bike on, with kill switch off (so it could start)

Open throttle slowly, hold for 2-3 seconds, close. repeat 3 times.

Turn bike off.

Its frustrating. Contemplating selling and buying an XB12 2008+

At least at 62% you will get less speeding tickets

One of your vent tubes in the airbox may be rubbing against the throttle linkage on the right side. This happened to me

Yup. Remove the airbox and airbox baseplate. Now work the throttle and open it up fully (no keys in ignition, you just want to see the mechanicals move), and watch the throttle linkage move to check to see what is snagging. It's either going to be the wiring harness (I'll bet this is it) and or the rubber hose on the right side of the airbox baseplate. When you rotate the engine, these two parts get disturbed from their factory position.

This happened to me and I had to make adjustments to the wiring harness so that the throttle linkage moves fully. I'm still getting some rubbing but at least now I get 100% throttle opening. The only way to fix it is to rotate the engine slightly and move the wiring harness just 1/2" or so to get rid of that slight bit of contact between it and the throttle linkage. I will do that on the next rotation.

It's either your vent tube in the airbox not positioned correctly, or your TPS is moving about with the cable.

Rogue...you better not wait too long to resolve your rubbing wires.
