being the do it yourselfer that I am,couldn't a person just get a edelbrock car muffler or other performance muffler,do a little welding and save $300,seems it might work.JC Whitney has some performance chrome mufflers with dual outlets.what do some of you think. Thanks Lonnie |

Pup its not that easy, theres alot of thought and testing to make an exhaust perform correctly.Or we all would of went out and bought a cherry bomb and been done with it. |

I would bet that the Latus has nothing done to it but adding chin fairing mounts.just my opinion though.I believe there is more to the header pipe design than muffler design again just my opinion |

The person at Latus HD who told me that it didn`t fit was the Parts Manager. He emailed me back and all he said was that it didn`t fit the XB12 models. But it sounds like it does fit right? |

Well as we have now come full circle, i would say yes. Craig says the only difference between the 2 Buell race "mufflers" is finish. So if a latus fits a 9 it would have to fit a 12. |

Just remember, with a 12 you have the added hardware of the exhaust control valve. It is quite possible they don't have it listed for the 12 simply because of the exhaust control valve. |

Pup, The latus has a few things done to the car muffler. It has the fairing mounts done very nicely. It has the appropriate pipe added so that it will connect to the header. It has chrome exhaust tips added. If you don't care about the chrome and the fairing mount, it would be easy enough. The latus muffler actually has a edelbrock part number stamped on it. You can buy the same muffler from jegs or summit. I don't have the latus any longer so I can't tell you what the number is now. |

I think I am going to try it,I have access to a welder to do the fairing mounts, chrome tips should be no trouble, thanks for the info |

Have you looked at the Drummer? It gets rave reviews from both Dyno machines and users... |

I had a Latus and it looked incredible and was meticulously made. Unfortunately, it was too loud for me and I sold it to another BadWebber. I really wish I could find something with the same look but 1/2 the volume. |

Yea, but its not a direct link and the sites in German anyway. I do not think it poses a threat to any of our beloved sponsors. They were just spreading some good data. Wycked...who is Morgan?

Udo contacted me yesterday to learn about being a sponsor of Badweb. I gave him Blake's email address and some info. I will be selling his products very soon(actually now if you want some, I am still putting my order together) that way you won't have to speak German to do business with them! They have some really cool stuff that I think I can do well with. Stay tuned. As usual the shipping of single items gets expensive so I will be ordering in quantity so I can save everyone a little dough. Still have a couple of details to work out. If any of you want some of Udo's products contact me and I will add them to my initial order. That will help me get a HUGE order together. Ride to the edge! Dave Iowa HD/Buell (Buell Cycle Center) (where you can get the cool stuff) |
