I have ridden the bike for 3-1/2 years with the switch and it works wonderfully for saving the battery. If the switch wasn't there the battery would be dead in about a week to two weeks. Another ECM would probably fix it but the switch was a LOT cheaper and easy to use. The bike has the 04+ belt upgrade kit installed with guards.
