I do not envy you the task of reassembling an M2. There's no easy way to do it. There's an easier way than the manual specifies, but it's still not easy. Let me know if you can use another set of hands. Jeff |

The 14th is looking good. Wives are of course welcome and will not be subjected to any domestic chores at Rancho Chingadero. But if any of them want to split some firewood or string some barb wire that's fine with me... Children are also welcome, but you'll have to do your own baby-sitting! Given the Houston weather in February, some people may decide to come in their cars, that's not a problem, we've got plenty of room for parking. I don't have a whole lot of bed space, though, so if you want to spend the night, plan on camping out! I've got a bare room in the garage that could accommodate a few bedrolls, and there's plenty of room for tents or such-like outdoors. I'll be asking for a firm head count as the date approaches, so watch this space! If the group starts to get large, I may have to pass the hat to help cover the food & refreshments. r-t

OK, I want to keep this thread up on the screen, so here's what I need you Houston Buellers to do: If you're coming out to El Rancho Chingaderoon the 14 of next month, e-mail me at tom_mccarroll@yahoo.com and give me a head count for your group. That'll let me plan for victualling and refreshments. I'll put together a mailing list and, shortly before the big pachanga I'll contact everybody that's expressed an interest and get a final confirmation. Then I'll e-mail directions, etc. to all the confirmed attendees. This is a no-lose deal--if the weather is good, there's lots of nice roads to ride, followed by food and camaraderie. If the weather doesn't co-operate, there's lots of room to park your cars/trucks, followed by food and camaraderie! Of course, Hootowl will be riding his amphibious X-1 regardless of WHAT the weather does! How's that sound? r-t p.s.--Blake, did you get my e-mail? We'd love to have you & Mrs. Blake join us... |

I have busted another rear shock. Unless my front mount comes in so I can mount the new style shock I bought, I will be in my '67 Chevy. Here's to hoping the UPS man comes and the rain doesn't. |

I have no idea. The boinger is still there, but all the fluid has leaked out of the blown out seal in the rear of the shock. Makes for an interesting ride. |

I have never done a stoppie. I don't carry a change of underwear in my tank bag. Just for that RT, I am renting a leather tux if it rains. |
