I wonder why (Rox) risers are the first/only choice for addressing handlebar reach/comfort. Am I missing something, how about just replacing the bars with better Height / Pull-Back? I believe the stock dimensions are Diameter Height Width Pullback Center Clamp Area " 7/8" , 6-1/2" , 30" , 9" , 5" , 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" Seems like easy to find 7/8 x 8-1/2 h , 10" Pull back, for short $ Thoughts? |

I would bet it is for the same reason I used a similar riser on one of my sleds. You could easily drop them in without changing cables, grips and with minimal cable routing. Simply bolt it on. I new handlebar may require new cables for length, grips as they may get destroyed pulling them off, and possibly heaters if not protected during the grip removal. It's not a monster job, just alot more than unbolting the existing handlebars and dropping in a riser. |

I had ProTaper bars with the Yamaha Raptor bend which is about the most I could find. I narrowed them 1/2" on each side. Mine were 1-1/8" (I forgot whose adapter I used) but they make the same bar in 7/8" if you want. Stock wires and cables fit. Add some bar-end weights and you're good to go. |

Were the Raptor bars taller than stock? Did you have issue removing the left side heated grip? (Message edited by df3112 on June 19, 2012) |
