Going to put the Axtell heads on the M2 this winter, paint the rims and look at powder coating the frame and engine cases. The hardest part of a restoration is not being able to do it all at once. |

Hey Goody, You still have any of your XB body work? Thinking about making some changes to the 12. Wanted to know if you wanted to part with some of your unnecessary plastic? (Message edited by xb12mel on April 30, 2012) |

What a blast! That was a great ride with good riders. Being my first group ride, it was a great experience. Hopefully we can do this again. Admittedly the white Buell brigade was pretty cool in a quirky way. My starter seal completely blew out though. Had to stop half way and re-fill the primary. The back half of my bike is soaked in gear oil now. Gonna be a load of cleaning. Johnnie (Message edited by Blaze86Vic on June 11, 2012) |

Well it's official. I taught my first Basic Riders Course this past weekend. Got MSF certified May 20th, tell you what it was a very long month of training to get certified. What a great time helping people learn how to ride a motorcycle for the first time. Still have the restaurant, this is to help subsidise my track days. If anyone else is interested, probably going out to VIR qith TPM July 16&17. |

Awesome ride this past weekend. I assume everyone figured out that once we arrived at Poes, everyone pretty much goes their own way. There was mention of doing another run on the 1st of the month called the "Brewery Run". I know Steve has the information and we can plan it for next month. |

Hey Eric, if all things go well, I might be joining TPM soon. I'd love to get out to VIR. But I need to take care of a few things to get my bike past the safety inspection. The bike is in great condition for a motorcycle with 37K miles on it!!! but at it's heart, it's a Harley with Harley tendencies! |

I took the Experienced Riders class last summer and contemplated taking the Lee parks class.I did not have my Buell last summer so I took the course with my Honda VTX 1800. WIth a big bike like that the tight turns and figure 8's were challenging. The instructors at the Experienced riders class said that if you take the lee parks course you need to be prepared to drop your bike. After they said that I decided against it with such a large bike. Now that I have the Buell I think I may take the course next year. Kruizen Will you become an instructor for the Lee Parks total control class as well? Whats is TPM? |

Becoming a Total Control instructor is the game plan, won't know details until Fall/Spring, as someone local has to finish their certifications to become an instructors trainer first. There were 3 of us in the course and no-one dropped their bike. I have heard that others have dropped their bikes. I had 2 slides that spooked me. I have created my own cone kit and have been running the drills in a school bus parking lot. But Damn its been hot!! Team Pro-motion www.teampromotion.com |

3 or 4 people out of 12 dropped their bikes during the experienced riders course that I took. ABout 90% of the group were riding cruisers ans at 800+ lbs they are beasts. Would you ever consider doing impromptu drill sessions and sharing your knowledge with other buell riders? We do this with the guys that I ride with but they/we all ride cruisers. |

Yeah. I'd be willing. Right now I head over to the parking lot in the evening when I know people won't be parked there. Did they have you warm up our tires before doing the drills where people dropped their bikes?? We did 5-10 minutes of laps and swerves to get tires warm before doing drills. |
