Geico was an EBR sponsor for a while. Not sure if it still is. So the implication is that Geico might get a sandy vagina about another vehicle insurance company using a picture of a Buell in one of its ads. Not that they would have any recourse, of course. Kinda surprising to see a motorcycle insurance ad in which the rider looks like he's hauling ass--usually the insurance ads seem to go out of their way to make it clear that the rider is just putzing along. | ||

What is wrong with crouching under the flyscreen? It is a great way to get out of the wind and reduce fatigue. There is nothing in the picture that indicates the rider is speeding or doing anything reckless, the blur effect can easily be a long exposure or done in photoshop. Here I am on a Blast doing around 30mph.  Regarding Gieco, they sponsored the RMR Rossmeyer Buell race team in 2009, then in 2010 RMR switched to Suzuki, so Gieco was plastered on Eslick's GSXR.   | ||

Allstate has another one where the rider is on a Cafe Racer custom. He too is in a crouch. I like it! I actually have Allstate for my MC insurance and they are very good. Not cheap though but very responsive. I've since switched over my cars because AAA was charging me way too much even though I had been with them for over 20 years! WTF? AAA was begging me to stay with them but when I asked why they were charging me $300 more per year for my car, they could not answer. But they're all the same bloodsuckers. They all balk at giving out insurance pay outs and it's just a matter of finding one that costs less and pitting them against each other to your advantage. They take advantage of you so why not? Now froggy, you know full well that riding in a full tuck for anything more than a short stint is about as comfortable as trying to poop after a week of constipation--nobody rides that way for very long unless they're trying to stay out of the elements or hauling ass. Either COULD be the case here, but statistically speaking, the rider would be a lot more likely do be doing the latter than the former. | ||

I did that for about a thousand miles riding to Georgia a few years back. Comfy, all my weight on the airbox, nice breeze going up my sleeves down my back, and my ass didn't hurt when I got there. I commute like that every day with no discomfort. I often shift between these two positions:   Just one of my tricks to get 50+ MPG. |
