Two weeks, that would be June 9 and 10. Sounds good to me. I have a bit of information on that motel in Pagosa for the SW Buell Rally. |

I cannot see any reason why not. I can't go up until after work on Friday, though. |

Got my bike back yesterday!!! Runs great and the Tucson HD guys made me a great deal on the cost, they basically just had me pay for parts only, they ate the rest. Now I break in my new motor and then ride it like I stole it, can't wait. |

Woo hoo! Just picked up a set of Crossroads -7 deg. The center needs to be re powdered but the price was nice. Anyone have any suggestions on grips so I don't have to pull my factory heated ones off? |

are you looking for another set of heated ones, or just a regular set of grips? |

Just regular, non heated ones. I was looking at the thick gel grips on American Sport Bike and a new throttle tube so I can leave my factory heated grips intact on the stock bars. |

Gotcha... I have never tried those grips, but they look decent. |

Right? $10 for the gels and $14 for the throttle tube...what's the worst that could happen? |

I have a set of nice, fat, rubber grips, and "may" have a set of stock CR grips. You can have the rubber grips for $10 and the stockers for free if I can find them. |

Thanks Bart, I may hit you up on that IF I can't get the left one off intact. Besides swearing and throwing a tantrum, anyone have any method to getting them off without cutting? |

Do you have an air compressor? if so use it to blow some air between the bar and the grip... |

I'd thought about that, I'll give it a shot. Thanks |

I use a very long, thin screwdriver, slide it in between the handlebar and the grip, stick the little tube that comes with your WD40 in the gap, and spray. Then, slowly roll the screwdriver all the way around the handlebar, constantly twisting the screwdriver around. It will come off. Make sure you clean the inside of the grip with alcohol after you get it off, to remove any WD40 residue. If you have problems, bring it by my house, and I will remove it for you. |

Thanks Bart, that seems simple enough. While I'm here, anyone have an opinion about anodizing vs powdercoating the center section on the Crossroads? I'm leaning toward the latter. |

I don't know anyone that does anodizing here in town, I'm sure there are a few that do. I have seen some anodizing that has faded in the sun, so you might want to think about that. As for powdercoating, it doesn't fade, and is a pretty tough finish, that puts up with some abuse. I just had one of my frames and two wheels powdercoated, and am fairly pleased with the results. |

Yo Bart, you and CJ ready to ride another 1200 miles this weekend? |

I'd go for powdercoating. As Bart said Anodizing fades, and especially quickly with our sun shine and heat in NM. I bought some master cyl. covers a while ago that were anodized blue, but they are now a very light purplish color, and it only took about 3 months for the color to start fading, especially when I left it parked outside under the sun at work all day. |
