I agree. What should we call it? "Ride in Peace" I think Mike is ontrack with the 2nd idea there. |

Otbcs, It’s nice to see someone with some character, conviction and pride in their beliefs nowadays (at least in this case specifically). I’m sure John is smiling down on you all. Cheers, -JW:> |

Well I wish that I could afford the collection of Buells some of my fellow Buelligans have acquired, but I can't. So I have gone and done it. Stripe'r is now posted on Ebay. She is out there with no reserve and with a long list of goodies. All my spares that relate to her go along in the sale. Drop me a line if someone is interested and we can see what can be done. Alas, I still have Passion to fuel my Torque fix, so I haven't completely gone over to the dark side . Time to take a DEEP breath and cut the umbilical cord! Later Neil S. |

Humming "on the road again" ,I go forth into the world. The little plan in the big plan is to be at the IMS-Cleveland on that saturday. Several other little plans are in the works also. Being as since I will be working 410s and the ensuing three day weekends. The portable garage will contain the S1 and will be pointed towards the south. Bubba, looks like I may be able to swing by.... sometimes I hate my line of work......then again.... |

Thank you for the encouraging words and condolences since my post on Wednesday. Your kindness helped my sons and I. Since then I have bounced around the boards, reading posts on other subjects. I enjoyed your humor, your intelligence, your attitudes about life. Those posts reminded me of the joy my husband felt when on the road, and it made me smile; part of the healing. Thank you all. Find joy and God bless. |

"Commemorating " I'm not sure that's the right word to use. Might be correct usage according to a dictionary but doesn't feel right to me. How about simply: In memory of those before us. Or something like that. |

Hey Bri, Ole H. is gonna be at the Cleveland show on 1/31 too. Maybe we can hook up, shoot the breeze and oogle over the bikes together. I'll ping you w/ my cell number (Loki don't lose that number. It's the only one you want... Sorry about the little Steely Dan digression there). Peace, H-man BTW, will someone pls fill me in on the chatter about a 2004 Homecoming? There isn't anything about it at the Buell site. I didn't see any dates or the place (other than WI) over on the Quick Board. |

I thought Jim's HD cross was pretty cool as for the rest of the stuff I've never been one for the formal surroundings related to death. Sombre comes to mind when in fact I'd assume we're trying to create a place where we don't feel miserable sad or depressed going there. Let the name of the page reflect that. Instead of 'memorial' 'commemorating' or some other such formality how about Past Hero's The Great and the Dead BadWeB Past Hero's The BadWeB Great and the Dead BadWeB Hall of Fame BadWeB Spirits Spirit of BadWeB BadWeB Heaven Me I prefer the first two but I included the others because I know most of you will want something conventional and formal - unlike the bikes we ride - think about it. Hey, how about a more positive "still riding" Of course that could be taken a couple different ways, but I think they all work Although I do like the BadWeb Spirits, nice touch Rocket

The Angel concept is interesting to me. Every time I ride I feel like I have two old friends riding with me. Teasing me, mentoring me, laughing with me. Both great riding buddies gone from natural causes, but with me forever. |

How about 'Riding with Angels', with threads for individuals. Whatever it gets named, I hope it doesn't get used. Steve(2)

Steve that's my point. If it does get used I'm suggesting it doesn't just become a list of our heavenly friends, rather it becomes a place where one can come across the name(s) of our dead, highlight their name(s) which in turn opens up where contributions can be placed and seen or seen and placed, therefore a place where people can offer up tales of our friends no longer with us, thus bringing life to an otherwise sad page. Making or calling it simply a memorial wouldn't make me want to go there often, if ever. This is why I personally would stray away from calling it anything formal, such as memorial or similar, as the page title in itself might suggest it is perhaps like a bereavement column in a newspaper where only condolences are written and nothing else. Bet you like this one.......BadWeB Roll of Honour Rocket
