Fork tubes and kick stand are shorter and the shock is longer. |

Is the shock longer or the front mount shaped different? |

It also has 100 extra horsepower, gives you muscles, great hair, and makes the ladies melt when they see you. It's true |

Yuppers the seat ,front tubes and maybe some internals, rear shock (longer) and kick stand (shorter). The front mount is the same as the regular one. They only made it in 2001-2002. |

Thanks, after looking at swingarm mount easy to see why long shock lowers the bike. looks to extend shock spring when it goes down in rear not compress, just wondering how well this works? thanks again |

I have a 2002 M2 Low and a 2001 S3T. They are very different, each in a good way. The M2 has less suspension travel so it has a harsher ride but it has less suspension dive on braking and feels very solid. It turns easily and, although it is lower, I do not have ground clearance problems on the street. The S3 is silky-smooth and gives a plush ride that the M2 Low can not match. Its suspension is more refined and it has more ground clearance so it is a much better touring bike and a better corner carver. The M2 is my favorite street bike and the S3 is my favorite sport touring bike. |

I agree with Buell Bert. I checked the catalog, forks (tubes and springs) are shorter, seat is lower, and the sidestand is shorter, and the shock is longer - the shock mount is shared with the traditional M2. |
