.....the Roadracing World Action Fund, in the amount of $800!!!!!!!! The donation was made in the name of BadWeb and Buell Riders and Enthusiasts. See http://venus.13x.com/roadracingworld/actionfund/ for details on the Action fund. Here is a copy of the letter that was sent along with the $800 check. Dear Roadracing World, Enclosed you will find a donation for $800 dollars for the Air Fence Action Fund. Please make the donation in the name of “Badweatherbikers.com, and Buell Riders and Enthusiasts”. This money was raised from a poster sale celebrating the 20th anniversary of the first Buell motorcycle, the RW 750, being built. We as motorcyclists would like to commend Roadracing World for having the initiative and drive to make the Air Fence Fund work. As fans and as racers, none of us like to see bad things happen to good riders, especially when something can be done about it. Thank you for all of your efforts, they do not go unrecognized. Sincerely, The collective “BadWeb”, and Buell Riders and Enthusiasts Initially it was announced at the 20th dinner that Team Elves did not need the money and that the money could be donated somewhere else. It was decided that since the money was collected from an "International" bunch of Hooligans, that the money should go to something that effects all of us in the "International" motorcycling community whether we are just fans or racers. You can all be very proud of what you have accomplished. Once again we have proven the power the the BadWeb. P.S. You might want to check out the above roadracing world link. The 20th hooligans are not the only BadWebbers who have been writing checks. |

Thanks for the update, Jerry! I really enjoyed working on the poster and was blown away by the enthusiasm everybody had about it and the whole Buell 20th event. That's an awesome use of the money. Everybody should be proud that we are helping to make motorcycle racing safer. |

That's awesome!!!! I'd like to once again thank everyone involved with the Buell 20th. What started as a BWB joke between myself and Spidey turned into one of my great life experiences. I also gained many new friends through this event. See ya in Newfoundland this summer |

i'm jealous, i don't know what the hell i was up to when the posters became available but i sure regret not getting one! i'm moving next week and finally getting my buell into a garage instead of under a cover in the driveway, that would be a bad ass poster for the new stall, and with the signatures and all woohoo! and the autographed fly screen! your a lucky man! |

Come with us to Newfoundland next summer, and get a close up look at that flyscreen. Now, how do we get Erik to show up and speak at the dinner, and sign things; like bikes, T-shirts, etc.? |

The threads are archived. Click on the archive links at the top of each page, then start saving them away for future reading. Around the end of February when the weather bugs and cabin fever really starts to kick in you'll be thankfull you did. |

No BadWeB logo on the poster? Was Blake a bad boy? Been cleaning out the Storm Fronts topic. Moved a bunch of topics there to the Tail Section. Believe that is where the 20th threads now reside. Will soon combine them into one. |

No BadWeB logo on the poster? Was Blake a bad boy? Nope, you just never mentioned it when the whole thread was going on, and it got busy quick and things were moving fast, never occurred to anyone I guess, including you !! Remember the whole poster project was supposed to be a total, unorganized, mis-managed failure !! Now that you are "belatedely" mentioning it, I think it would have been Cool to have the badweb logo on my poster, and so would everyone else I bet !! So yeah I guess you were bad to not bring up such a neat idea until like a 6 months later instead of in time, darn it !!!! CJ edited by cj xb on January 09, 2004 |

"No BadWeB logo on the poster? Was Blake a bad boy?" Was BadWeb a sponsor? Sorry Blake. I know if it wasn't for this board, the event never would have left the ground. But on the other hand, every logo on that poster was paying "sponsor". Next time we decide to run a poorly organized event (maybe for a 25th Anniversary), we'll make sure to include BWB |

Actually, it did occur to me to include the BadWeather logo. But I was too busy making sure the sponsors logos were on there and just didn't do it. Then I thought about thanking BadWeatherBikers on the "Special thanks to" line but didn't have a lot of room so I just said "all Buell enthusiasts" instead. That was meant to include Blake and all the people, and the web sites, BadWeatherBikers, ATC, even SacBORG.

Hey, I was happy to get a free poster. Just now occurred to me that there was no mention of our little online community. I tried to stay clear of that entire effort and let better qualified minds handle it. Wish I could have made the event. Work sucks. |
