That's the kind of situation that keeps us young! Glad you made it back in one piece. I've never been down there but seem to have some time on my hands (!) and a understanding wife so I'd like to go. What's the drive time? |

Rock, "...keeps you young!" Yes, I almost crapped myself...is that what you mean by young? If you highway slab the ride to The Dragon, it is about 550 miles / 10.5 hours. If you divert a little and enjoy the ride down, you might want to stay over one night. The Blue Ridge Parkway is around 450 miles (I think) and starts near Waynesboro, VA & Rte 64. It runs all the way into Cherokee, NC. A great ride. Plenty of places to jump off if you want to shorten your ride time. Shoot me a PM if you want more details. |

Any interest in doing a track day this spring? ... Millville, NJ has a nice facility. Most courses do a class for first timers which I hear is extremely useful and then divide course time by skill levels. Anyway, if interested keep your eyes open and share what you find for rates, deals and days. Here's a schedule for this past year (lots of options) http://www.absolutecycle.com/raceshop/ ... there are other organizers as well. |

Trickster Terp, Not many people can say they've kept it on two wheels through gravel and grass - well done!! Anyway, glad to hear you made it back in one piece and that you had a good time. |

Rat, I had a flashback of Tommy Haden at VIR this year, winning the race and then going through the grass infield at 150+. No...I'm not trying to make any comparison of Tommy's riding skills to mine. Glad to see your post. Spring will be good. Need to purchase leather pants. |

Yeah - still alive and kickin. Just talking today about the Baltimore aquarium - maybe we could get the fams together this off-season? |

Terp, You're right there's no comparison - it's a bit easier riding on manicured infield grass ... instead, you were on rutted up roadside turf (and to make things a bit more challenging there was that 18 wheeler). C'mon, you have to start spinning these things the right way |

At this point I think so, probably Saturday morning. |

Something came up nixing the show for me. It's a shame because I hear that it's going to have a different (and potentially better) format. Supposedly, there are going to be more cycle related demonstrations. |

Does anyone know if they are still doing first Sundays in Ephrata this year. Just got back from Daytona and now I have the itch to ride more really bad. |

Does anyone know of a good place to have a motorcycle seat built? I am looking to provide the passenger (loving wife) with a more plush riding experience on the Victory Hammer S. It is a cruiser, and even with the "touring" seat it still is lacking in comfort. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. I am located closer to the DE/PA line in Maryland. |

I had my XB9 re-worked by Enterprise Upholstery, Hickory, Maryland. They seem to have done a nice job. They added High Density Foam...not gel. I sold the bike a short time afterward, so I can't vouch for the longevity. Check with T-boltpilot (sp?) on this site. He has owned the bike for the past (2) years. |

I am going to do the Happy Joker Poker Run tomorrow. Destination: Delaware City ... then maybe Chesapeake City. Google Happy Joker Poker Run for info ... it benefits the American Lung Association. |

The Union Hotel was packed, it never rained and the band was good ...
... for anyone who hasn't been there, I suggest checking it out. Vintage and relaxed is how I would describe it (and good bbq). |

Ended up at the Union Hotel twice last year, and it is definitely a great ride destination. The roads in that area are excellent for riding as well. BBQ goes fast, so don't get there too late. |

Crystal Springs BBQ in Sinking Spring is good too ... I used to go there all the time back before it was modernized (it's still good). |

Are you sure its bad grounds and not a stator or voltage regulator problems? |

I'd be up for a ride with fellow Buellers in 2014. Been looking for others, but couldn't find any in this area. |

I think you may be right about it being either a stator or voltage regulator problem - I put new bulbs in and they worked for a short period of time but blew out once I got up to speed. I will have to check the message boards to figure out how to diagnose it though (I don't have any experience with electrical systems). |
