Due to financial circumstances... 2006 Ulysses (Barricade Orange) for sale by second owner. Bought by me 8/2010 with just over 10k miles in St. Louis and promptly ridden home to SoCal without any issues. Now has just over 17k, all on pavement. Ridden in occasional rain, even snow, but always garaged. Some two-up miles, but mostly ridden solo. Usually at speed. Guaranteed to never have been over 118mph. Slight uphill grade according to GPS, with fully loaded bags. GPS screen capture available to purchaser showing 1070 miles in 18 hours (16 rolling), and the Ulysses made it all seem easy. Fuel mileage 43-45 mpg. Can certainly go more than 30 miles after the low fuel light goes on. DAMHIK. On the Interstate. At night. On the rez. In the cold Arizona rain. You might want to gas up before the light comes on, which is 150-160 miles depending on how full you fill it and how hard you are riding. Never wheelied. Never stunted. Never drag raced. Not dropped out of a helicopter onto a ski slope, nor used in X Games. Never bounced off the rev limiter. It may not even have one for all I know. Run vigorously, but never abused. I have always worked on my own, and after a few years working for the Triumph shop I learned to treat them well so they did not grenade. Easy to rip about on the Buell without abusing it. Well maintained with Mobil 1 V-Twin and Formula+. Runs flawlessly, and needs nothing. A few small scratches and an exhaust header ding away from as-new. Very strong runner in every way. HID low beam, your choice of high or low seat, Aprilia-type mirrors, heated grips, generic top box. ECM undamaged, rear ground strap added. Yes, it has the usual Ulysses bags. I can send photos if you want to see them. They live indoors. Fly in to Ontario Airport (ONT) here in SoCal and I will meet you at the airport. = or = Will happily deliver anywhere for return airfare. Ulysses is ready to go cross country right now, weather permitting. $5500. https://picasaweb.google.com/datsaxman/2006Ulysses ?authkey=Gv1sRgCJKW1IP_rpzRfA#5702392028372073426 https://picasaweb.google.com/datsaxman/More2006Uly sses?authkey=Gv1sRgCOHHgOnwt7yPLw |

I think you would love to trade it for an 1125R!

Yeah, ducking... Frank, you know I had an 1125R, right? It was pretty awesome, actually. Handled great, went like stink. Useless rear brakes. GF refused to take a second ride on it. "Awwwww, hunny...it really was a great wheelie, wasn't it? Let's go for a nice Bueller". But no. It was really not going to be possible for me to ride the 1125 slowly. At all. If I still had it, I would no longer have a driver's license. Or a girl friend. Folks, back to the topic at hand. Yes, I am down from three Buells to two. But I need the dough. Keeping the XT for a very long time. |

Plastic grass is spoken for. Very nice 2006 XB12X is still available. GF says she might fancy a nice Yamaha SRX 600 in trade. Me too. (Message edited by datsaxman on April 15, 2012) |
