If I can clear up some issue's here at work, I'm hoping to be there. Not racing though. Been corner worker at the Memorial Day races for a number of years. Would hate to miss it!! |

Come to think of it, did you win the 1125 from Air-fense Andy's raffle? |

Tony, No, that's a friend that got me started in corner working (along with his girlfriend, Kathy, who does most of the cornerworker training). His name is Bob and is here on the BadWeb as Gs750t. I either ride a Purple (Parkway Blue) S2T or an XB9R. I've had a bunch of issue's come up that I'm trying to resolve, but they may get in the way of my showing up this weekend. If I don't get down, have a good race! |

Im glad I checked out this forum today . I havnt been to SP in 20 years . Happy to know its still alive ! Where can I get a schedule . Would love to go back and camp in the infield . I think the last time I was there was in 85 or 86 . Paul Newman was running a Nissan , Willy t. Ribbs was in a Camaro . |

@Buffalo, thanks! Paul Newman's picture is a fixture on the wall at Chez Summit at least. |

Glad to hear he's gonna keep hitting the ASRA rounds. It looks like following the results, he's doing well in ASRA Thunderbike. I'll be racing in the Amateur Thunderbike class. I'm just hoping all goes well. I'm supposed to be picking up my XB tonight. Tim, I was gonna ask a few guys when I got to Summit, but since you're here I'll ask you. Is it common (or at least courteous) for lowly amateurs like me to pit in at the second half of qualifying? I never did a qualifying session before and I was thinking about just doing two laps after my out lap in order to make sure I don't get in the way of guys who are a bit more serious about racing than I am. Thanks. (Message edited by Tony216 on May 24, 2012) |

Tony, Generally speaking and in the professional ranks, the faster guys prefer the slower guys pit and get out of the way. However, in ASRA it is not a big deal at all. You paid your fee's. It's 12 minutes of extra practice. I say run until the checkered flag and screw who doesn't like it! Haha. See you soon. Walt |

Hey Walt, I was gonna stop by and say hi, but I spent the whole weekend working on my bike, so it was a rough run. Congrats on the great finish!!! |

Hello Tony, Thanks and congrats on your podium as well. I didn't hang around the track much but I'm glad to hear you got everything in working order. Walt |

I wish I rode better. After boiling the brakes, I never got into one good again. Fortunately, Jeff Gochenour gave me a used set of pads so I could race. Hopefully, Loudon will go better in a few weeks. |
