Hello everyone! I wasn't sure where to do this so I thought I would start here. I'm new to street riding, rode dirt bikes some as a kid, and I'm a new Buell owner. (XB9SL) I am so glade to find others who enjoy their Buells. The dealer who sold me mine (Shenandoah HD,Buell) doesn't sell many. I rode my friends SV650 and almost bought one but it seemed to be lacking something. I think I found it in my XB9SL. It's still bone stock yet it stands out in a crowd. Did I say it was bright yellow, that helps with the standing out part. Sorry, I'm starting to gush like a proud Papa. I ment to just say hi and thanks for a place to talk Buell. Being new I will probably have tons of questions in the future. I would also ask you to bear with me because I am new to all of this. Thanks Folks, Howard (the Duck, get it?) |

Welcome... I too have a yellow XB9S. It started life all black... and thanks to ebay... it is yellow with a black chin fairing from a XB9R. I have added the factory race kit and a GPS & radar detector. Also tank & tail bags... not a lot of mods... but it makes me smile! Welcome... you are gonna love your XB and the BadWeb! Dennis P.S. don't believe anything about me having multiple personalities... all the guys in the KC Mob will confirm I am TOTALLY normal!!! |

Dennis, I've been to Kansas(Witchita and Mcpherson) and I must say that anyone who lives out there, I'm from VA, can't be totally normal. Please don't worry though I openly admit to being something other than normal, what I don't know yet but after 35 years I'm starting not to care. |

Howdy XBDuck. I think everybody knows that yellow bikes are faster. I started out with a Yellow XB9S. Due to an unfortunate incident I now have a black one. I put the nose of an R model on it just recently though. Welcome to the Badweb. This is a great source of information and alot of knowledge from folks who care about the bike. --Phil |

Buckinfubba, Yes, it is a movie that came out when I was a senior in high school. The nickname troubled me at first but when I started working as a pipefitters helper, I found that of the nicknames available to those warped b*****ds(pipefitters & welders) 'Duck' sounds good. P.S. I became one of those warped b*****d welders.

Actually... Howard The Duck started life as a comic book.. Then there was the movie (didn't do the book justice of course)... Then it was back as a comic book.. Now, in it's best incarnation, it's a BUELLER!! Hehehehehehehe... Oh, and Duck (Howard) I'm in Northern VA not far from the 8 lane death strip. Feel free to drop me a line if your comin' up this way.. Or, I may be comin' down that way.. Hmmmm.. There's a thought... Maybe us VA BadWeb folks should think about gettin' together.. just to say 'Hi'.. Once the damn weather warms up.. YOUR GONNA LOVE YOUR BUELL!! Lean It Like You Mean It Later. |

Another yellow S here. Best of luck. Mods--Factory Race Kit (a must!). Pull off the passenger crap, all reflectors. Pull of cheese grater. Titanium bar ends Corbin Gunfighter Seat is a must for comfort and looks!! The bike generates great comments like the one from the guy who works at the local yamaha shop. "Cleanest sport bike I have ever seen!"
