could be for any reason. Push mode and toggle down and turn the ignition on, don't start the bike, and the error codes will appear. Try that and let us know.

It means your front and rear AFV are too different.
You have an OEM ECM and an aftermarket exhaust?
Get the race ECM for your exhaust.

at the risk of asking the obvious: did you actually ride 500+ miles at 100 mph with the check engine light illuminated?

if so, then you gotta be crazy.

I was wondering if there could be a connection between riding 500+ miles with the CEL on, and his other thread that complains about having $14,000 "on the way to $52,000" in warranty repair bills.

Bob, some of us are old coots, some are kids.
Thank the fire sale.

Hang in there Guard_rail.
Pay attention to the important stuff, ignore or be amused at everything else.

Zac, you have the distinction of being the first person to ever call me an "old coot." : p

I'm not that old ... you're just a bit premature.

@ timebandit- "momma always said crazy is as crazy does..."
*in my Forrest gump voice*

I stand behind the work of my mechanic.
If he says the bike is ready then it's ready.
The bike just needs to adjust to the. New cam shaft chain tensioners.

I only ride back and forth to work 1 day a week 20 miles round trip.
That's why I got so crazy. I really wanted to take this ride. Lord willing, This is the start of a great season. Be ashame for it to start with a wrecked engin. And google told me what the code means. Google takes you straight to this site also as a reference....

Yes that was one of the dumbest things I've ever done!! !

"FactOry stock everything. !!!"

Factory exhaust too? If so, I would be concerned. Go into diag mode and tell us what the front and rear AFV's are.

Depending on what those values are we can give you better direction.

@zac4mac that racist "FIRE SALE" statement is thrown around a little to freely these days, lol. And I'm tired of Post talking bout my people right in front of our face, rotfl. My credit is good enough to buy this bike sale or not.
Thanks for the advice. she's a good bike... Jet a little mid understood.

Caught a nail. On mOnday Plug got me back to myrtle beach frOm savannah. New diablo corsa rossa installed next morning. I did a quick 150 miles on it to break it in. today I took a 350 mile trip to Columbia S.C. and the clutch lever started to fall off on the Way home. Right off the handlebar peg... At 135 mph!!! I don't even remember how I stopped.
