Miller and New Jersey are the best remaining tracks for the EBR. RA will be very tough as it is a pure horsepower track. It does not matter how well you hook up or get power to the ground that hill up the main straight is second only to the high banks of as a HP challenge. |

Sorry it took so long for me to post, but I had tons of pictures to sort and edit, and had to get back to wrenching yesterday... I had the most awesome time I've had in a long time this past weekend. When Cole and I left home, the weather looked foreboding, but we soldiered on, fighting a heavy wind all the way to Sonoma. That wind kept up all through Friday, but it was obvious that Danny and Geoff were on the gas hard, with provisional 2nd and 3rd qualifying spots! From the stands, team EBR looked like they were ready for a fight, everyone looked sharp and focused, and it showed in the lap times and the on the track "racing" going on between Danny and Blake. Off the track, the EBR swag booth proved to be more temptation than I could stand, so we came home with darn near one of everything....and BTW, it is all high quality stuff!! We also got to meet up with several BadWebbers, chatted with Rob from Crotchrocket Racing, visited with Terry from JTS, and saw more Buell/EBR shirts and hats than I have ever seen! We also got a couple of minutes to catch up with Breeann Poland. The grid walk was new to me, so we got some great pics, and Cole got his pic taken with some of the fine brolly girls. When I got to talk with Geoff and Danny, I was impressed with their determiniation, and yet they were both very relaxed. Geoff mentioned that they had found more compression for their motors, hence the slightly different exhaust note, and increased speed...He also said he felt very confident about the upcoming round at Miller, since he had a bunch of corner speed available, besides a respectable amount of top end! I found it very touching that Geoff's lovely wife was his brolly girl, in his words, "She's my biggest fan!" Another display of high class was Bree holding Danny's umbrella for the start of the first race....family, ain't it great? Danny loved my custom made shirts, with photos I found on the web and turned into personal EBR swag.... Congratulations EBR, Crotchrocket TV, Geoff, Danny, Shawn, and all the guys and gals that had a hand in making Sears Point a success!!! It was a banner weekend, with more to come!!!

AMA Pro's prose RE: E B Racing http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?artic le=48272 ".....While Team Amsoil/Hero EBR's Geoff May was praised as the best of the non-podium finishers at Road Atlanta, the showing at May's home circuit was just the warm-up act for what was to transpire at Infineon Raceway. After a couple years of steady development, the EBR 1190RSs of [Geoff] May and his teammate, Team Hero EBR's Danny Eslick, enjoyed what can only be described as a breakthrough weekend in Sonoma. The sleek v-twin racked up a number of firsts throughout the weekend. May secured the machine's debut front-row grid position on Saturday morning. Eslick one-upped that in the day's race, pushing Young hard for second (and actually controlling the position for a handful of laps) before accepting a close third to score his, the bike's, and the team's first-ever National Guard SuperBike podium result. "That was pretty awesome," Eslick said of his maiden SuperBike podium. "As soon as we showed up on Friday we had a bike that was working pretty good. Overnight we made a few changes and it really got the Team Hero EBR 1190RS hooked up. It didn't even really concern me when I got bumped off the front row. The race definitely showed that we could do it pretty consistently. "It's just awesome -- hats off to the team. To get a SuperBike podium is a dream come true, and I'm sitting up here with guys I've beat so I know I can win one of these." May, who had the speed but not the start to challenge for the box on Saturday, was not content to allow his new teammate to take all of the glory after his years of hard work on the machine. He came back even stronger on Sunday and threw down for second on the last lap before ultimately matching Eslick's third-place result. "I definitely had to fight really hard to get that one," May said. "I didn't get the greatest of starts but got up there with the pack and just tried to conserve my tire and be patient and not expend too much energy because I knew with the heat today it was going to be tough. I just tried to ride as smart and clean as I could and just put my head down. "I noticed the guys starting to fall off the pace and when I did I put all the energy into it. I got (into second) and we had a nice, clean little battle there at the end. It was fun. It feels good being back up here -- it's been a long two years coming." Team owner Erik Buell said, "It was quite a weekend for EBR, and a real tribute to all who have helped us fight back to better than ever. What an honor to be racing with the famous import brands for podium spots in AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike......" (Message edited by firstbuell on May 10, 2012) |

moar from "RRW": http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=48248 EBR riders have fun in the sun in California! Danny Eslick and Geoff May both podium at Infineon round East Troy, Wis. – Team Hero and Amsoil/Hero Erik Buell Racing (EBR) riders had a great weekend in the third round of the AMA Pro Racing Superbike series this weekend at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA, with both riders each getting on the podium once. In Saturday's race Danny Eslick rode the Team Hero #69 EBR 1190RS from a first lap off-track excursion up to 3rd place, in a tightly fought battle with 2nd place finisher Blake Young on his Yoshimura Suzuki. Geoff May on the #99 AMSOIL/Hero EBR 1190RS had a bad start and was in 13th place initially, but fought his way back through a talented field to finish in 5th place. On Sunday morning, Danny had a rough crash in practice, but rolled out to the grid Sunday afternoon, more than a little battered. But he hung in there, and when the checkered flag waved, Geoff was in 3rd, after being passed for second in the last corner by Roger Hayden, and Danny was in 6th, only .001 out of 5th place. “The team did an amazing job this weekend,” said Erik Buell, “This is our first time to Infineon with the new EBR 1190RS, and the competition is fierce, but the riders and crew really got the bikes dialed in quickly. This track really rewards the handling and braking qualities of our bikes.” "The Team Hero 1190RS and I are starting to get along just fine," said Danny Eslick. "Saturday's race just kept getting better as I got more laps on the bike, and Blake and I had a great race for second. On Sunday I was just grateful how easy the 1190 is to ride, because I was really hurting from my morning crash! But I still had fun, and can't wait for the next race. I can't say enough good things about my new team; these guys are fantastic." "I really enjoyed this weekend, and feel like we have made tremendous progress with getting the settings right on the bikes. Thanks to Hero's sponsorship we have the extra crew members to allow us to get more done, as well as having a great team mate in Danny." said Geoff May. "The 1190 motors never missed a beat - the AMSOIL lubricants allow us to run them to the limit all day. I was holding 2nd up to the last lap Sunday, but I knew Roger would likely make a move on me at the end since he had the time to watch my lines. I'm definitely looking forward to the next round at Miller." Geoff moved up to 6th in the rider standings, and Danny to 8th. EBR is now third in the manufacturer standings. The next race for the EBR teams is in the twelve round AMA Pro Racing Superbike series is May 26-28 at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.

RKC00, Yep, I put the name Studio 819 on the belly pan of the bike, like a sponsor decal. :-) And, it's one of a kind, just for me, not for sale, though I might send it to Geoff! I wasn't trying to steal anything, or make any money off the pics, just trying to show support for the Team and Riders. Was that so wrong? |

Actually in my eyes it was wrong. Being a photographer I am just a little sensitive to people stealing photos and using them without the photographers permission. It has happened to me a lot the past year. There are a few members here that are sponsors of this site that make a living selling photo's and shirts with these photos on them. Me being one of them. Hope you will show some support for these company's in the future. If you would like to help support me in going to a few more races this year to get more photos of the team riders please visit my site and make a purchase. It would be appreciated. http://www.mjrphoto.net/Motorcycle-Events/A2012/Da ytona-2012-0316-1712-EBR/21996288_jpDdrd#!i=1754687975&k=d6Ngrj4 Thanks Michael |

Micheal, I am the one who will apologize, I didn't realize what I did was wrong. I will attempt to make it right. I hope you will forgive me, and I hope Brandon will allow me to make it up to him. I honestly meant no harm, I was just trying to show my support for Geoff and EBR. Sincerely, Neil |

After all the great, well deserved press EBR has been getting I decided to travel over to Asphaultandrubber.com's sight and see if they had anything and to my surprise they did!! I must warn you though.. the author has a knack for being a moron... See for yourself. The comments following the article are priceless. http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/bikes/erik-buell-r acing-1190rs-american-flag-photos/#more-30729 |

quote:Court Canfield says: May 14, 2012 at 7:47 AM How do you propose that ERIK BUELL RACING control how private owners (that 1190RS is one of 3 owned by t Texas businessman) paint their bikes? I’ll be interested in your answer given some of the outrageous color schemes I’ve seen here in NYC. You also failed to mention ERIK BUELL being named, by Entrepreneur magazine, as one of the all time design and engineering geniuses. They missed the part of about the paint job.

All this from a web page that RARELY ever posts anything about AMA and they come up with this garbage. Did the author actually watch the race?? In any case, EBR stands head and shoulders above what ever HD slander these knobs can produce. I will never visit A&R again if they are going to be so judgemental and narrow minded.. oh I forgot.. they typically only post racing news from WSBK and MotoGP so why bother. Go EBR!! |
