Thoughts on how we can get Shawn, Rob, me and the 1190 to miller for the big M weekend? What would it take? Do you need gas? Money? A truck? All of the above? | ||

not sure of all details at this point but yes most likely all of the above. personally i would need airfare out and back being that i'm in florida. | ||

I'm really excited with the progress the EBR bikes are all making. We've had a rough start but with Sonoma things seem to be turning the corner and i really don't want the team or the brand to lose any momentum. Plus I've never been to Utah  | ||

There ought to be a way... but as we know, Crotchrocket.TV racing program is a closely-run thing. It'd be good if you could be there - IF it can be pulled off. You're familiar with his machinery and could help straighten things out with all the lessons learned. Miller would be way cool. | ||

One thing I know can/will help is for us to buy from his sponsors. Shorai batteries, nexx helmets both come to mind. I can tell you that both are outstanding products. I now wear a nexx carbon and it is nice! | ||

hey Dean, if Rob's team's departing SoCal, they'll likely be following I-15 thru Las Vegas to SLC - there's no way for you to merge into that particular route from Bay Area, you just drive East.....for 12-16 hrs, np! | ||

It is SO FREAKING DIFFICULT. The first season is really just to build the resume/portfolio to present to potential sponsors for the next season. So far, publicity has only been among a small circle of friends. INDEED we need to support the sponsors. Got to talk to Shorai guys (been racing total loss with my Shorai for a year) and just also bought a NEXX carbon helmet for the racing... but we need to figure how best to get EXPOSURE and PUBLICITY. | ||

those of us that post on other boards need to take Shawn and Rob and the sponsors to those boards. get the word out. if you can post a link to the team site then do. when you're at the site click through to the sponsors from there too. | ||

JAX tickets look reasonable. Round trip Wed night to Mon AM (weekend stay over) look to be less than $600. There has GOTTA be a way to work this. | ||

This might sound harsh - but Rob need money to keep the fires lit and burning. With Brice, Dean, myself - and him and Shawn where needed, the pit will be at saturation level and it takes energy to direct people who need directing. Offers of help are way cool but looking at what often happens, asking for volunteer help is often like asking 9 women to have a baby in a month. I try to help but also try to throw as much $$$ at it as possible. Sponsor support is important. I made a POINT of buying the helmet FROM Steve Lim (NEXX) and making sure that he knew it was BECUSE of his sponsorship. I bought the Shorai directly from Shawn but took the time to talk TO the Shorai guys who came to the track. Sponsors still need EXPOSURE. Print, radio, TV. | ||

Absolutely correct. Take these sponsors all over the web make sure that when you talk face to face with people that you talk up the team and the sponsors. Make sure if you don't have contact info for them that you get it. Let's make sure our sponsors are getting their $'s worth... | ||
