I have a soft spot for Bill Bartels. If you read "25 years of Buell" you will note that it was Bill Bartels who took Erik Buell on board the Harley dealer boat as his "date" that allowed him to be formally introduced. Also, Bill let me use his staff, his dyno and provided transport to my desperate attempt to race FUSA in 2004. Good guy he is - and he also gave the Bostroms, Zemke, Yates, Henley, Ecklund their start on 883s back in the day. | ||

Talked to Mitsu at Bartels' the other day about possibly doing some work on my 1125R. He came out of the shop looking interested in the Manx SR I drove up in. Ask him about that if you see him there.  Anyhow he showed me the XR1200 he's working on for the team (Accel, Excel?) he's pitting for at Infineon. He'll be there likely focusing primarily on his team but I'm sure that won't take all his time. | ||
