Hee!, hee! Our demographics reveal we can afford to pay those kind of ticket prices! Aren't you guys glad we don't ride rice burners? Go check out the demographics thread. Some event bean counter has probably hacked the site and is using the information against us! |

Another thought - Here in somewhat soggy California, the going rate for shop time is in the range of $75 an hour. Makes a multi day event for $75 sound better. And unlike the HD 100th, there won't be a "mystery entertainer". Glenn |

I want to support Brag as a Buell owner's association but I can't see any reason to renew next yr. $40 for ~20 pages of Fuell every other month and there is no local Brag chapter to speak of (no dealer support or owner participation). |

I do believe most of you are finally getting it. The Homecoming is a social event as was the 20th Anniversary. The adventure is in the commute. The fun is in the comradery once you get here. As eluded to, the plans are not finalized and published yet. I would find it difficult to believe that HD/BMC would not give your your monies worth regardless what price they charged. Emotions seem to run rampant on the BWB. Everything from the cost of a Homecoming to telling HD/BMC what to make. Only suggestion is to kick back, relax and enjoy the ride. You will be glad you did. |

Newfie, That's what I was going to ask you if the Homecoming in June would affect your date. I think late July fits my schedule the best for a Newfie Adventure Series. It would take just a little out of the adventure making it in conjunction with the Homecoming. |

It does not matter for me!!!! I may not ride back for Homcoming seeing I was there in August 2003. If I am to ride that far this summer I am taking in the Gap or another part of Canada. I hear Northern Ontario is a nice place to visit. So you guys give me a date and I will be the guide for the Newfie Adventure. |

Dyna, You are starting out the new year in an unfortunately negative tone. You are bringing me down man. Chill. It is all good. The Buell and HD people planning and manning and organizing the whole thing need to get paid, don't ya think? Buell and HD are businesses, not charitable organizations. Sheesh. |

"Break this down: Dinner at Lake Lawn (host hotel): $30 Road America ticket (per their website): $30 Food at RA: $10 Dealer events: ??? I guess the price isn't that outragous. " Seems to me at the last 2 homecomings I attended I also recieved a pin and T-shirt ?? $$$$ Bitching about the value of an event befor it has even happened, you got crystal balls or somthing. It cost me over $2,000 just to get to each event that I went to and I dont regret one dollar of it, the freinds that I have made and the memories from 2000 and 2001 are priceless and I wold'nt give that up for anything. If it's not your bag dont go, it's that simple. If you have never been to a homecoming all I can say is try to make it and then if don't live up to your expectations let the organiser know in a constructive way don't just bag it for the sake of nothing better to do.

$75 is not that bad. They don't make money on these events. Making it from Washington DC to East Troy without involving a trailer or a towing service: PRICELESS. edited by josé_quiñones on January 04, 2004 |

Court you gonna plan on making it to wisconsin this year for this event????Bit do us a favor, don't come in a Crown Victoria.A Vette will be cool if ya don't have to pay for it,but I'd rather like to see ya come by BUELL.Maybe Blake,Aaron and some of the other I've hadn't seen since you guy's came down to Uke's. |

You have neglected to mention the big old "boy hug" I gave you...that surely has SOME value! Yer right, I will try to find all the Physio and Chiropractor bills. Looked up the expense sheet's for those trips if the $75.00 is an issue you better stay away from the bar each night, or if you dont, stay away from the likes of Rich and Don, and come to think of it stay away from Pammy and Andy and Cap. Best option sit in your room at night and watch TV but then you never get that "the big old "boy hug"" from the likes of Court, yes stay in bed at night safe and cheap. |

Jose, Try making it from Newfoundland to East Troy on an S1 and on the way back blowing out an isolator while riding off road going through Detroit, then making a call to a fellow Bad Web (thanks again CJ) member who e-mails another (Ozz666) who invites me to Buffalo, NY for an afternoon of repairs. To make the best of it he had the updated parts sitting in his garage. That is PRICELESS Oh Yeah Court next time you go to an event not on a Buell please find another vehicle other than a powder blue Crown Victoria!!!! |

as I said earlier like dave and crusty. I am amazed constantly how everything in our world is supposed to be cheap or free. we go to movies and pay what for popcorn and a coke. we got to restaurants and pay what for food. why don't we just hide our collective heads in the sand and maybe our society will disappear and gas will again be 5 cents a gallon and a hamburger will be a quarter!! you guys ask for a homecoming and you got it! you'll pay $75 for a fancy dinner and sometimes still not get laid. or you can go and hang out for a couple days with some friends and I bet ya you'll have fun!!! I guess it all depends on your perception and such. What you want out of an event. I can tell ya this much. If you come to north carolina in sept. it is gonna be about riding and riding somemore. we generally do 350 to 400 mile days down here on the weekends. Yeah its tiring and such so what its fun. I just don't believe $75 is that much when you take into consideration the races and food and yes expenses of putting on a gathering. Dyna you never will be happy will ya. If you don't wanna participate thats cool. why do you bitch about stuff that you don't plan on doing anyway. It is about the adventure and I have never seen anyworth while adventure come for free!! |

First, the buell.com web site was not updated yet when I checked it this morning. Second, I actually received a copy of the FUELL magazine in the mail. Haven't read it yet since I was doing springtime yard work on Saturday and shoveling snow on Sunday. Weird weekend, sort of like owning a Buell I guess in some weird way. I think, reading and listening to some, the Club Outrider will be growing in membership. I've had a good time at previous Homecomings, will have to wait until the official parameters are defined before making a decision for this year. Might be out of town, might be elsewhere, might be nowhere. Until then, YMMV. Side note: last week I called the BRAG membership number and asked about HOG membership. The way it was made to sound by the person on the phone, I had to own a "Harley" to be a HOG member. Interesting, oh well, one day you're a tree, then all of a sudden your a sheet of paper headed into the paper shredder. Life is one big circle sometimes. Gotta go, see ya. |

The Dates for the Homecoming are June 2-5, 2004. Additionally, the $75 fee is for both BRAG and HOG members. Ergo, dropping BRAG in favor of HOG has not hurt me one iota. |

I got my Fuell today. Not a lot of details about the Homecoming. I am already penciling it in on the calendar. Yeah, I'll go. I have never been to Road America so that would be cool. $75? A one day ticket to Road America alone is $30. Plus, I'll get a t-shirt, a pin/patch and entertainment at the host hotel. $75 doesn't sound unreasonable at all. I just hope I have a full-time job by then!! |

At Homecoming '99, the Brag area was turn 5. It was really interesting to watch the racers come down the hill, then put their left feet out to keep from falling down in the rain. Even so, a lot of riders crashed there. After the track dried out, the racing got better, and a whole lot faster. |

All this whinning about $75. Hell, I put $30 of gas in my truck two or three times a month. By the time it warms up and I start riding the M2 again, I'll have saved twice that that much by June. Then, what I've saved goes into more enjoyable ways to burn gas. |
