OK, so we are going to give it another, hopefully not last shot. My biggest problem at the moment, is pit crew for Thursday and Friday. Thursday is setup, so no real experience required. Just lugging. Friday is Practice and Qualifying, so it is very important to have a smooth running operation so Shawn can focus. The challenge is that in order to be in the hot pit, you have to have a crew pass, which requires current AMA Pro Racing membership. I can spring for the Crew Pass, which can be shared from day to day, but not the membership which requires photo id. Slaughter will be there Sat and Sunday and there are a couple of other volunteers for those days waiting in the wings. Boogiman1981 has offered to fly out from FLA on his own dime if I cover other expenses (thanks Brice, you are truly the MAN!) But... I am really strapped, so if I can do this locally, I need to. So... if anybody as above, has a membership, or would spring for their own, and can be at the track either Thursday, Friday, (Saturday or Sunday or all would be cool too), and would be willing to crew, please let me know now. Thanks! |

Rob: Beetlejuice . . . Beetlejuice . . . Beetlejuice . . . . where are the ASBN folks? We need a hand here. Let's start moving a few $$ toward the effort from those if us far away and we'll see if we can't enlist some help from ASBN . . . arguably one of the most resourceful Buell groups ever. |

Rob, we just sent you a couple of message / replies to the BARF and BW post and I also sent Slaughter a PM. As always anything Jimmy and I have at the shop is yours for the weekend. Jimmy will be there tomorrow and thru the weekend. Drive up the hill past the kart track and it's 29731 on the right side of the center green building our Buell race trailer will be parked in front Friday morning. I will be there Friday thru Sun. I was at Daytona for a Super Sport customer of ours, so I have a 2012 AMA license. When I get there Friday I will hop on the scooter and come down and find you guys. Also keep in mind the shop is hosting. BBQ at mine and Christine's house Sat evening, just 15 miles away in Vallejo and the team needs to eat somewhere. Looking forward to meeting you, so call Jimmy at the shop 707 996-6103 or me on my cell 707 246-0999 and we are all yours. PS - The BBQ is open to all Bad Webbers and Buell riders and fans. There seem to be rumors floating around that somehow EBR is somehow sabotaging our effort in order to keep us off the front of the grid. I need to be perfectly clear that THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE! Michael Tjon and the entire EBR crew has been extremely helpful and have shared all information about everything that they are doing. So please do not listen too or spread these rumors. As they are COMPLETELY FALSE! |

Rob, I must agree, what is rumored is just not in Erik's character.....ever. And a 15th is just fine for your start with such limited resources. You also probably gave EBR bikes a point or two in the mfgr points to give them a third place. Well done. Do you think I will be seeing you guys at Millers. Please keep us "believers" in touch. Best wishes to continue living your dream. Bob |

Ditto what Rob said, EBR have been incredibly nay, unbelievably forthcoming with help and information. This is not speculation on my part, but rather first hand info. I was there. EBR is truly a class act in every way. WOW! What a weekend! That was 4 days of hard work and FUN! That is S A T I S F A C T I O N ! I believe Higbee/ Crotchrocket tv finished the weekend on a very positive note and are feeling very upbeat. We all had an amazing time, and I feel fortunate to have played a part in the story, and hope I may have the opportunity to do it again! And what can I say about EBR? Their results speak for themselves, what a class act they have going on there! And the help they gave us, well, unbelievable! : And don't forget what makes a race team run, if you like seeing an EBR out there besides just the factory team, I'm sure Higbee/ Crotchrocket tv, Shawn and Rob, could use all the support they can get! And again, many thanks much kudos to Jim and Terry of JTS performance at Sears Point (Infineon) for all their huge amount of truly invaluable help, what a class act those guys are in so many ways and so many fields! And don't forget what makes a race team run, if you like seeing an EBR out there besides just the factory team, I'm sure Higbee/ Crotchrocket tv, Shawn and Rob, could use all the support they can get! Ray. |

The Higbee Crotchrocket tv team has contributed 15 points towards the EBR Manufacturer standing, which has contributed to EBR being 15 points out in front of the 4th place team! ( That's a good thing...) |

Thats pretty much everyone I guess. Had fun, its been a while since ive had 4 days off work and Im glad I got to spend it at the races. My 350k mile "maroon" car didnt like the 4 hours of driving on Thursday so I had to hitch a ride the rest of the weekend, Wish I could have stayed longer with you guys. Bigblock, not to take away from what Shawn is doing on the track, which is fantastic, but actually he is not contributing to the manufacturer's points yet. Only the top finisher for any manufacturer gets points that are counted for that manufacturer in that race. 30 for 1st, 25 for 2nd, 21 for 3rd, etc. |

Harvey (Imonabuss), you're contradicting yourself; you say first "Only the top finisher for any manufacturer gets points that are counted for that manufacturer" then you go on to say it divides up among several, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. Which is it? I thought points were awarded all through the field results with a diminishing return depending on final position and I thought Rob and Shawn would come away with a few points anyway. Naturally Danny & Geoff would get most but Shawn would get a couple. And of course maybe I'm just thinking about rider points for the championship. Clearify please and thanks. |

I think he means that the top finisher for any manufacturer is the only points awarded for a given race. So Shawn's points don't count until he beats Danny and Geoff. And Danny's points didn't count when Geoff beat him, and Geoff's points don't count when Danny beat him. That keeps a manufacturer from stacking the field with lots of lower scoring bikes. |

My bad, I was looking at the AMA archives and misunderstood the information, I wasn't aware of the AMA's method of manufacturer points calculation, plus it was real late after 4 LOOONG days at the track, so I was pretty excited! Besides, Shawn and Rob have still collected 15 points for their team! |

There is a way that your second or third bike indirectly scores points that is by finishing in front of the first bike from another manufacture that manufacture only scores points for that position. Race one at sears point Geoff May finished 5th and Steve Rapp on the Kawaker finished 6th thus Kawasaki only gets points for 6th. |

I see what you mean 46Champ. Whoever Higbee finishes in front of gets one less point than they would otherwise have gotten... provided they were far enough forward to get any. So again, not a factor yet, but if heart can win races, we will see Shawn on the podium soon. |
