Today in a very safe location I was going to run the bike up a bit. Just as I hit 130 I got a weird sensation from the rear wheel, almost a bit of a squirming motion. I dropped back a bit and it went away. When I again sped up, it was back. In a sense it almost felt like a rear does when losing air. I pulled off and checked, and all was fine with the tire pressure. It spooked me enough that for the rest of the ride everything felt odd. I checked everything I could think of when I got home, and nothing seemed amiss. Any idea what was going on. |

Is it possible that at those speeds you are approaching a harmonic of an imbalance in the rear wheel/tire? |

Check your wheel bearings if you haven't. Also tire balance is a definite possibility. |

I'd go with tire balance. On a recent GPS-logged 141 run on the CR, the only ill effect I felt was parachuting from street gear (as opposed to track leathers). Bike was rock-solid. Another option is death-grip - at those speeds, you're pretty much holding on for dear life. |

If you are feeling ANY harmonics at highways speed(s), chances are you have bearing problems. |
