Please check out my 3 classified postings. I'm taking my 1125 racer apart and selling all the race parts. A year and a half ago I bought a bunch of race parts however because of some work commitments and personal injuries I have never had a chance to use a lot of them. From an accident my right leg is permanently much weaker than normal.

So I'm selling out and building 450 super single (FI WR450F with my extra 1125 front end and mag wheel). About half the weight and a little more than a third of the horsepower, a bike I can ride into my retirement not long from now. I need some money to help finance this new bike so I'm selling the 1125, the bike I now have trouble handling.

In three separate postings I have 2 different sets of bodywork, race pipe, ECM with DSB map, chain drive, sprockets, magnesium rear wheel, CF case covers, Ohlins rear shock, GPR damper, race wiring, and race sub frame.

Off topic by a mile, but inquiring minds want to know about the Super Single bike. : )

It's a 450 MX/off road bike converted to road racing form. In the US there was a big push about 3 years ago to develop this class as an entry level for professional road racers. The class is big in Europe, but here in the US support from groups like the AMA and WERA has ceased because of a lack of interest. You can still race the bikes, there's just no specific 450 Super Single class.

You might want to check out this PDF on how to build a bike for less than $8K. I'm not saying you can, but there are some interesting numbers, facts and howto's in there. That PDF is from the 450Forum. If you check out the forum you will see that it's been pretty much dead for a couple of years now.

You could also check out this description and series of photos on the build for the bike in the pic above. Roland Sands Yamaha 450 Super Single.

That 450 looks nice! Talking about how much to build a bike, in Practical Sportbike they had an article about an RC30--with VFR750 motor--that a chap built for 3k pounds. If you don't go with Marchesinis you can save a big chunk of change when you build a bike.
