I have a 2004 Blast that My X-Wife let sit for 3 years and I ended up buying it back from} her, The Carb was Terrible and Plugged everywhere. I must have had the Carb apart 10 times. Starts fine with a new plug but runs and idles very rich. This was a perfect running bike before it sat. Is there maybe some orfice I missed. The Boot has been replaced and it has to be carb related. any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Eric} |

Thanks for the reply, I took the Carb apart one last time and cleaned every orfice and blew air though them, I also drilled out the idle air plug and made some adjustment to it, All back togather and seem to run completely different, RPM,s are higher and smoother. One more question for you, I want to put a good aftermarket Air cleaner on and get rid of the stock plastic housing, Any advice? |

The only one really available now is Dan's air cleaner (sold on ebay) or you could do EZ's airbox modification as a cheaper alternative. |

I've got one of Dan's units, and it is an absolutely excellent piece of hardware. The EZ airbox mod is definitely worthwhile if you don't want to spend the coin on Dan's work, but Dan's setup is excellent, and he's a great guy to work with if you're doing something silly like putting about at high altitude with a Blast. |

My intake is also an option. |
