okay so after a long while and a lot of work the beast has a new front exhaust cam, new stem bearings, new ebr 6mm rotor and hardware, rebuilt front caliper and stock master. frame is heavily insulated and even reflashed the ecm... you'd think the beast would be happy with all of this fine treatment.....but nooooooooo about 100yrds up the road from my gate at work and baaaaahhhhhhh hit the gas and it dies.....i'm kinda dismayed and upset. low and behold my work partner sees me pulls a uturn and gives me her truck and helps me find some of our coworkers to lift the beast into the truck and she even has straps! mind you the straps were scray at best but they got us home safe. i'm thinking fuel injectors low fuel pressure bad sensor etc. the bikes starts and idles fine just dies with throttle. plug in the laptop and see nothing weird except the TPS is not responding to input. so i pull the airbox to start checking for pinched cut frayed wires and loose connections. what did i find? i found the connecting bar had fallen off of one end. the e-clip and washer have gone mia. must have knocked them loose/off one of the times the frame was off and on the bike. they are gone so a bit of saftey wire and we are good to go.... |

I think he means the bar that links the throttle bodies. |

Yes it's a flat bar that links the rear throttle body to the front one. |
