I bought my one and only Buell just a few months ago. I'm 36. I'm a Harley guy, and this Buell was a great deal from a friend of a friend. I bought it for the looks, but have actually learned to enjoy riding it. If that pesky front wheel would just stay on the road!!

Guess it's time to chime in here and help Buellhusker in pushing the average up a bit.

I'm 58 and my first real ride was on my brothers HD Sprint in 1966, while on leave after basic training. My own first bike was a Montesa Skorpion I bought direct from the factory (for $412, plus shipping) when I took a European discharge from the Army in 1969. Wish I still had that bike (or could find another one).

Have been in and out of bikes since, but think I'll stick with them now. Never will be able to afford any of the cars that would interest me. Have a Yamaha SR500 and BMW R80/7 that are both projects for when I have the garage space to work on them.

It's 5 30am I can't sleep and you got me thinking of bikes I've owned - rather like counting sheep <grin>.

I'm 42 and look 35 on a good day - well I've still got a full head of (not yet grey) hair and my teeth don't reside in a glass by the bedside at night

Some of the above were shared or works bikes and I'm sure I've missed a few but that matters not having worked in the motorcycle trade from age 17 to 28 I got to ride an enormous amount of bikes from Tomos mopeds to Kawasaki GPZ1100's and it was great fun when you got to take the good ones home especially so coz they never cost a penny! Did I mention free use of the workshops. Wow did I enjoyed those years.

32. Just have my 02' M2 at the moment.

I think my Buell wants a friend though. A friend along the lines of a 916 or 996 Ducati. Maybe next year.

I can always dream.

average? who said any of us were average.....let alone normal. My mother is the one who started me down this slippery slope though. "Ma, can I get a car?" "NO!" "Can I get a motorcycle?" "Well I let your brother....." "Thanks ma"

That was in '83 and I have yet to hit the 40 something barrier, although I am getting close.

1981 -XS650H
1975 -RD350(w/alot of RD400 DAYTONA parts)
1981 -SECA 750
1964 -XLCH (w/a 72 top end)
1982 -KZ750R1 GPz (the original NINJA!)
2000 -M2 (which was stolen by the way!)
1997 -S1

the future? a S2 is on the horizon, an ELR to replace my beloved GPz

Pushing 47 REAL HARD, been riding 30+ years. Have owned 7 Harleys, 3 Suzukis, 2 Yamahas, 1 Honda, 1 BMW. I currently own a 99 Cyclone and a 95 Electra-Hog. My wife loves to ride, short rides only on the Buell, 1000 mile camping trips on the Hog. (Plenty of room for hair curlers, blow dryer, makeup etc.) Was living outside Daytona late 1980's and early 90's and was facinated by the Buells at Bike Week. Test rode a 2000 Cyclone at Bike Week, fell in love and bought a used 1999 Cyclone with 2,700 miles on it. 24,000 miles later it is still the most fun bike I've ever owned.
